Scott Thompson, who is known by the name Carrot Top, has reportedly been hospitalized. TMZ reported that he was rushed to a local hospital after an attempted suicide. The comedian's representative confirmed that he was hospitalized; however, no further details have been shared. Carrot Top has been loved by his fans for his skills, and over the years, he has established himself as one of the well-known American comedians who has also been a part of several projects, including a feature film.

Over the years, as Carrot Top has established himself as a comedian, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding him, just like every other famous personality, and one of them was his alleged unrecognizable look. People started wondering if Carrot Top had gone under the knife. At one point, people even started calling him a 'walking Photoshop'.

Did Carrot Top get plastic surgery?

The speculations started getting so solidified that even on a roasting show, people picked on the comedian, Carrot Top, asking him about the cosmetic surgeries that he had done. However, for him, this was nothing but 'absurd'. Time and again, Carrot Top spoke about the same and dismissed the rumors about his plastic surgery.

Speaking about his plastic surgery rumors, Carrot Top, while speaking on an episode of Oprah: Where Are They Now? joked that even though people think he had done any surgery, it actually takes a lot of makeup for him to look that good. In the same episode, the comedian revealed that he once was a part of a roast show, where the other comedians were set to roast Flavor Flav, but ended up picking on him, which was due to his look.

One of the comics ended up asking Carrot Top, "Jesus, Carrot Top, when are you gonna stop with all the plastic surgery? You look like the guy from 'The Mask' or something." Carrot came up with a super witty response, as he said:

"I'm sorry that I look good.I don't think I look anything different than I did when I started."

During the same episode, Carrot Top mentioned that people might have thought that he had gotten bigger at one point in time, but it was due to the fact that he was working out and basically bulking at that moment.

Carrot Top talked about bulking up, which ignited the buzz about him taking steroids

In another interview with Florida Today, Carrot Top said that the most 'absurd' thing he heard about himself was this rumor about his plastic surgery. The comedian went on to reveal that he neither opted for any surgery nor took any steroids.

He talked about training intensely during one period of time, which bulked him up, which might have given people the impression that he had done some cosmetic procedures and taken steroids. Denying the claims about plastic surgery, Carrot Top said:

"I didn’t do steroids or anything, I just worked out a lot, and I never had any plastic surgery. I can see why people would think that since I got really big for a while, but I never had any work done. I mean, if I was going to have plastic surgery, I would look better than this! My crew, my family and my friends all know I work so hard I wouldn’t have had time to get work done if I wanted to. That was absurd."

For those who don't know, Carrot Top reportedly got the name from one of his swimming coaches, who allegedly gave it to him because of his red hair. When he made his debut, he wanted a cooler name, feeling his real name, Scott Thompson, was boring. Among others, he decided Carrot Top would be best for him.
