Bungee Jump Crew's Faces Revealed, 'Can't Remember' As They Threw 21-Yr-Old Without Safety Rope

The weekend ended with the horrific news of the death of Maria Eudarda Rodrigues de Freitas. She was just 21 years old when she was thrown off a bridge during a bungee jump adventure sport without a rope attached to her harness. The three bungee instructors who held her claimed that they could not remember who was tasked with tethering her.

For the unversed, the three men were involved in the horrific accident as they forogt ot secure the bungee cord. The three men, Luis Felipe Feliciano Egoroff, 32, Maicon Fernandes Cintra, 42, and Vitor de Freitas Gonçalves, 27, forgot to secure the bungee cord. The three men's faces were revealed in a post on X. Talking about what led to the bungee jump accident, one of the instructors, Egoroff, told authorities that he and Cintra were the ones who were assigned to attach the rope. He then claimed that he could not remember what happened at the time of the 21-year-old's turn. He said:

"After that, it erased from my mind."

Another instructor named Cintra revealed that the trio was assigned the job, but he didn't understand at what moment he could not see the rope and launched the 21-year-old without safety gear off the bridge. In the clear photo from the accident day, the rope lay on the bridge as they launched Maria off the bridge. A witness recording the moment was left in horror as they shouted, "Guys, the rope!" As per reports, Maria also had a GoPro to capture the jump from her point of view. However, they don't know where the camera is now.

The three men who have been detained are still in pre-trial detention. As soon as the news surfaced, one of the instructor's Instagram accounts showed glimpses of the videos showing bungee jumps and other high-risk stunts he was involved in over the years. In one of the clips from 2023, Egoroff was seen holding a bungee cord with one hand while a young child clung to his neck, and then he ran off the edge of the bridge with the child.

Maria lost her life after falling from the Ponte do Esqueleto, famously known as 'Skeleton Bridge'. It is famous for extreme sports adventures. As per the investigators, Maria was thrown from the bridge without a safety rope attached to her harness. The three men who launched her from the bridge didn't attach the safety rope. The horrific video footage reveals how witnesses on the bridge yelled that she was thrown without the safety gear, which was connected to her.

However, after the horrific accident, the first person who reached her was an off-duty nurse, Rayza Dias. She revealed that Maria was still alive. The nurse revealed that getting down wasn't easy due to the muddy terrain, and she even injured her hand in an attempt to reach the 21-year-old for first-aid. She was quoted as saying:

"I scraped my whole hand because there's a steep slope down there and only one rope for us to climb down. It was all covered in mud. I kept going down, down; we walked all the way."

The nurse further revealed that she saw Maria was breathing heavily. However, her pupils were both dilated, and her pulse was very weak, but she still had a pulse. So, the nurse tried to get her to talk, and joked that 'nobody dies on her shift'.
