BTS' V Revealed The K-pop Girl Group Member Who Inspired His First Solo Album, 'Layover'

In his recent interview, BTS singer, V revealed that he reached out to this female K-pop member for collaboration as his debut solo album, 'Layover' was inspired by her band.

Bangtan Sonyeondan, aka BTS, is undoubtedly the most popular boy band in the world. Each band member is equally famous and has a massive army of fans eagerly waiting for their new releases. The band is soaring the success meters like no other, and alongside each member of BTS, they are also working on their solo albums. BTS singer, Kim Tae-Hyunk, aka V is all set to release his first solo album, Layover in September 2023. Taking about the same, V, in a recent interview, revealed that a particular female member of a girl band was the biggest inspiration behind his upcoming debut solo album, Layover.

In a recent interview with W Korea, V revealed that he wanted to explore different sides of music and provide his audience with something he hadn’t done before. For that, he collaborated with Min Hee Jin, the designer of the 2013 album, Pink Tape. Min Hee Jin is also the CEO of the entertainment company, Ador. Talking about the collaboration, V further added:

“I wanted to show a different side of my music compared to my past works and collaborating seemed like the best way to achieve that. Our collaborative discussions were productive, encompassing every detail, and the entire collaboration process was seamless.”

V’s debut solo album Layover

Almost all the member of BTS have released their solo albums, and V is not far behind. The vocalist’s album has been in the making for a while now. The album consists of six songs, and listeners are suggested to listen to all of them in sequence to ‘fully appreciate the album’s flow’. Two songs from the album have already been released namely, Rainy Day and Love Me Again. The teaser of the third song, Blue, is already out and the song will soon be released. In the same interview with W Korea, V added:

“My love for diverse genres often has me humming away. While creating this solo album, I truly discovered my vocal essence, and that’s what makes me incredibly fulfilling.”

Almost all the BTS members have released or are set to release their solo albums. J-hope was the first member to go solo with his album, Chicken Noodle Soup. Followed by Jin’s The Astronaut. Gradually, all the members, including RM, Suga, and Jimin, have released multiple solo albums. All of which have soared high on billboards and created new records.

Currently, V and Jungkook are in line to release their first solo albums. V’s solo album will release in September 2023. Jungkook, on the other hand, will release his mini-album in November 2023. The mini-album will consist of three tracks and the first song is titled, Begin.
