Bride Ditched The Designer Lehenga And Re-Wore Her Mother's Wedding Saree For Her Own 'Shaadi'

Every girl looks up to her mother. For a woman, her first beauty icon is her mother. At some point in our life, we all were in awe of our mother's beauty and her unique way of styling Indian attires. Mothers are the epitome of beauty and they had taught their daughters that beauty doesn't lie in designer wears or labels, it lies in the eyes of the beholder. Mothers are the ones, who can make a simple patiala suit look like a designer piece, and they can flaunt it like a million-dollar ensemble at weddings.

When a girl grows up, she hopes on wearing her mother's clothes, especially her sarees collection. No matter how old a saree is, it can never go out of fashion. And the bride of the week proved us right by donning her mother's wedding saree for her own big day.

The bride ditched the designer ensemble and donned her mother's wedding day saree

Meet the bride, Tanya Mahajan, an artist by profession, who had tied the knot with her beau, Rishi Asrani. The gorgeousness had ditched the designer ensembles and had opted for her mother's wedding saree. The bride's red saree is made up of pure zari work with beautiful golden floral motifs. She had worn her red saree with a matching half-sleeved blouse, which she had styled with an open-pallu and red-hued dupatta

The bride had accessorised her look with a choker neckpiece, a long kundan haar and a shishpatti. Her makeup artist, Nilofer, accentuated her look with dewy sheen cheeks, golden eyeshadow and glossy pink lips. Her soft curls completed her bridal glow.

On the other hand, her groom had worn a navy blue asymmetrical kurta with white pyjama and a red-coloured pocket square. He had accentuated his look with a matching doshala, black shoes and a wrist watch.
