However, as Taylor got married on July 3, 2026, Blake was nowhere to be seen. Amid this, sources revealed how Blake exactly feels about the same. According to the Daily Mail, sources recently revealed that Blake is a little sad and a little pissed.
Even though Blake Lively and Taylor Swift had a strained relationship, there was a certain hope, reportedly in the actress, and in their fans as well, that the friendship could possibly be restored. Reportedly, Blake wanted to go, but it felt bad to be excluded like that. The source could be quoted as saying:
"She's sad and a little bit p***ed. No, a lot p***ed,' that friendship was over before but if there was hope, it's gone. They'll never be friends again. It feels bad to be excluded like that. She had sort of hoped that despite everything, their history was enough that they'd be included, but that's not the way it went."

The sources shared that the guest list was so massive that Blake's absence became impossible to ignore, and on top of that, Taylor had invited almost everyone she knew, and thus, Blake's absence from the ceremony itself spoke volumes about the same. Sources said that the reason was personal, for obvious reasons, and the bigger the wedding got, the more upsetting it became for Blake. A source could be quoted as saying:
"The bigger the wedding gets, the worse this looks for Blake. There will be movie stars, athletes, politicians and music royalty in that arena. When Blake isn't among them, that becomes one of the biggest stories of the night and Taylor knows it."
Earlier, reports claimed that Taylor Swift extended an olive branch by inviting Blake Lively, while on the other hand, some reports claimed that the actress was not invited. TMZ had earlier released photos of Blake, wherein she could be seen with her husband and daughter at a local farm in Lake Placid, New York. Blake and Ryan were there to support their daughter, Betty, during a horse riding competition.
According to a report by Closer, Taylor and Blake hated how things turned ugly between them. Sources shared that, even though the distance between them grew, Taylor still cares about the friendship they once shared. Taylor's close ones 'held her hand' and helped her to get over the 'pain it caused'. Sources further revealed that Swift's close ones felt that revisiting the past again and again had been doing harm rather than any good for the pop star, as it had an emotional impact on her, and it led her well-wishers to be protective of her.
