The super-talented actor, Sharad Malhotra is celebrating his birthday today and has revealed in his latest interview that he and his wife, Ripci Bhatia have welcomed a 45 days old baby in their lives and has learned some major lessons about parenting while taking care of him. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, television actor, Sharad Malhotra revealed his birthday plans as he has turned a year older today. The actor revealed that he will take an off from his busy schedules and celebrate his special day with his family and closed friends. He said, “I will enjoy my day off and be at home. We will have friends over for a low-key dinner or might step out.” Going further in his interview, Sharad also made a surprising revelation as he stated that he and his wife, Ripci Bhatia have welcomed a baby boy in their lives and how that new member has changed the whole dynamics of their home. He said, “We have a new member in the house, and he is delightful. When inquired, the excited actor revealed that their little baby is a four-legged cute golden retriever but clearly stated that there’s no difference in taking care of a pup and a baby. He said, “Listening to our stories about him, people laugh when we tell them about our routine and tell us that maybe we are training for the real baby, a child, I mean. I realise that having a child is a massive responsibility- be it a four-legged or a two-legged baby. We can’t take it casually, and it is not easy.” However, when the birthday boy was asked about her and Ripci’s plans of starting a family together and bringing their furball’s younger sibling, the actor retorted saying that at the moment, both of them are not ready to embrace parenthood.
Sharad Malhotra also revealed the reason behind it and said, “We are still discovering and enjoying each other’s company. As cliché as it may sound, that is the truth. When you have a 12-hour schedule, the plan is to have moments with your partner, but it doesn’t happen as often as you would like. We try to have some getaways, drives, dinners and spend time with each other. We are not planning a family right now. Abhi time hai. Whenever it happens, it will.” At the end of his conversation, the actor also thanked the lockdown period because of which he and his wife had managed to spend some quality time with their parents.
