Recently, a North Carolina judge issued an active arrest warrant for her as she failed to appear for a mandatory Brunswick District Court hearing on July 10, 2026. The reason for Jen's plight is a May 2026 traffic event in which she was caught speeding by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. She was driving a Jeep at 88 mph in a 70 mph zone.
Jen's recent controversy has brought her personal life into focus, particularly her highly publicized feud with Bill Belichick's girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. Jen once slammed Jordon for the latter's alleged unprofessional behavior in public.
Why did Jen Belichick slam Jordon Hudson?
Jennifer Schmitt (now Jen Belichick) has gained prominence ever since she married Steve Belichick, the daughter-in-law of the University of North Carolina (UNC) head football coach. She was reportedly quite close to the Belichicks, including her father-in-law, often making public statements about him. However, she once allegedly overstepped and said something controversial about his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. The incident occurred after Jordon shut down inquiries regarding her love life with Bill.
At that time, CBS Sunday Morning's Tony Dokoupil asked Bill Belichick about his first meeting with Jordon Hudson. Standing just out of the camera frame, the then-24-year-old Jordon abruptly intervened and reacted unexpectedly. Before Bill could answer the question, she stated that they wouldn't entertain such inquiries. Her exact words were:
"She's acting as his publicist. Publicists do this during interviews. People are out for blood."
Reports later surfaced alleging that Jordon Hudson's intervention went far beyond just a single comment. Many claimed she even stormed out of the room, delaying the shoot by roughly 30 minutes. Her behavior was met with harsh comments, including one from Bill's daughter-in-law. Amid the backlash, Jordon found support from comedian Nikki Glaser, who defended her reaction, claiming that it was how publicists usually act. Referring to Jordon Bill's PR, Nikki wrote:
"She's acting as his publicist. Publicists do this during interviews. People are out for blood."
Jen Belichick spotted Nikki's comment and firmly shut down the publicist narrative, claiming that if Jordon Hudson attended the show as Bill's PR, then he should have acted in a more mature and professional way. As per Jen, Jordon should have known better than to jump in mid-conversation and unnecessarily delay shoots. Calling out Jordon's alleged inappropriate behavior, Jen Belichick wrote:
"@nikkiglaser publicists act in a professional manner and don't "storm" off set delaying an interview."
Another instance of Jen Belichick lashing out at Jordon Hudson
Bill Belichick's first year as the UNC Tar Heels' head football coach was filled with controversy, especially after he found himself caught in a feud between his daughter-in-law, Jen Belichick, and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. The incident in question reportedly occurred in Ben's office when Jen did not hold back her opinions about Jordon. This included everything, from her fashion choices to her relationship with her father-in-law.
Jen even commented on Jordon's body when the 74-year-old coach was in the room. Reports claim that Jen went on a "nearly hour-long profanity-laced tirade" while "furious with Hudson" after an interaction they had earlier that day. Jen Belichick called Jordon Hudson "batshit crazy," while claiming that all she "does is control shit." Their argument reportedly reached a point where Jen blamed Jordon for "fucking twisting" her father-in-law's brain and urged him to "wake up."
Jen then allegedly told the people in the room, which included her husband, Steve Belichick, her father-in-law, Jordon, and many others, that she would speak her mind no matter what. She didn't really care if it led to her being disowned by Bill Belichick or her husband getting fired. For those unaware, Steve worked as UNC's defensive coordinator under Bill.
