The last season concluded in December 2025, with Gaurav Khanna emerging as a winner. Considering that the show usually arrives by the second half of the year, the excitement for Season 20 has already started among the audience. The latest reports have even hinted at a possible launch timing of Season 20.
Bigg Boss Season 20 is expected to premiere in the next few months
Fans of Bigg Boss have been frequently seeking updates on the upcoming season. Latest reports have revealed that preparations for the new season have started now, and the makers are aiming to bring it by the end of October 2026. However, Colors TV and the producers are yet to confirm the new reports from their side.
Another report has stated that it might premiere in November 2026 in case the launch is delayed for any reason. Notably, the premiere of Bigg Boss Season 20 will entirely depend on the finale of Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 15, which starts airing from August 1, 2026.
The upcoming season of the stunt-based reality series, hosted by Rohit Shetty, was supposed to premiere on July 25, 2026. But it was postponed due to the TRP blackout, which was a result of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s request to the Broadcast Audience Research Council to put a temporary stop to the television ratings until a new license is issued, following the rules of the revised Television Ratings Policy 2026.
Salman Khan is supposed to return as the host with a lineup of new contestants
Salman Khan has been the host of Bigg Boss for almost 15 years. The superstar joined the show from the fourth season, which premiered in 2010. While he co-hosted with Sanjay Dutt for Season 5, he has continued appearing as a solo host so far. Farah Khan took over the hosting duties in the final month of Season 8, reportedly due to Salman’s prior commitments for his film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
As the launch date of Season 20 approaches, it is expected that Salman will return as the host. Makers are reportedly in discussion with Salman, and an official confirmation is yet to be made. But more than the appearance of Salman Khan, it is the list of contestants that has grabbed a lot of attention on social media.
The names of many popular faces have emerged as the contestants of the show. While contestants from shows like Splitsvilla and Roadies have frequently participated on Bigg Boss over the years, the same is expected this time.
The names that are currently doing the rounds on the internet include Anjali Arora, Riddhima Gupta, Jannat Zubair, Arbaaz Patel, Bhavya Singh, Ruru Thakur, Urfi Javed, Kushal Tanwar, and more. A report in June 2026 also mentioned the name of Awez Darbar as a contestant, who participated in the 19th season of the show and was eliminated early.
