A few days ago, the MTV Splitsvilla Season 16 winner revealed that he was married and got divorced after four to six months of marriage. It is worth mentioning that in several interviews, Gullu had denied being married. In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 20, Gullu shared his take on commitment in relationships and cheating.
Gullu asks a tricky question to Kanika Mann about relationships and cheating
A while back, a snippet from the latest episode of Bigg Boss 20 surfaced online. The clip featured Gullu, actress Kanika Mann, and Isha Rikhi. In the video, Gullu asked Kanika a hypothetical question about commitment in a relationship. He asked Kanika if a boy made it clear to his partner that he does not want commitment and then saw another woman at that time, would it be considered cheating?
Kanika shared that it depends on whether the man has provided emotional stability to his partner. Isha quickly joined in and chimed in, "Situationship hai ye." While Gullu’s tricky question about relationships and cheating was allegedly hypothetical, netizens think otherwise. Social media users connected Gullu’s tricky question with his past relationship with Kaira Anu. A user wrote:
"Unpopular opinion, and you all can hate me for it too, but Kaira kept pressuring him to invest even though it was clear that he was not as involved as she was. His pairing with her was completely or majorly strategic, yet she held her hopes high. Gullu never seemed that interested from the get-go; whatever he did was for the sake of winning the show."
For the uninitiated, Kaira Anu and Gullu were one of the most loved couples on MTV Splitsvilla Season 16. Despite winning the show, the duo’s relationship went through highs and lows. Earlier, in April 2026, some eagle-eyed fans noticed that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Digital creator Preet Singh, who was also part of the show MTV Splitsvilla, shared in a May 2026 interview with Free Press Journal that Gullu might be a little emotionless, but Kaira was head over heels in love with him. Preet said the duo was total opposites. She praised them for maintaining a strong connection throughout the show and eventually emerging as winners. Gullu and Kaira lifted the trophy and took home a cash prize of Rs. 20 lakh.

Kushal a.k.a. Gullu is a content creator from Gurugram, Haryana. According to Starsunfolded, Kushal got a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management in 2022 from the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (IHMCT) in Pune. In 2019, Gullu tried to enter the show Roadies, but his audition didn’t work in his favour back then, and he was rejected. Later, in 2025, Elvish brought him in as a wildcard contestant on Roadies, and he soon became a fan favourite. He lifted the trophy of Roadies XX as Elvish’s wildcard contestant.
Currently, Gullu is seen inside Bigg Boss 20. Before entering the house, Gullu shared that he saw Bigg Boss 20 as a chance to build his own identity. He mentioned that unlike Roadies and Splitsvilla, where cameras followed contestants for limited hours during tasks and challenges, Bigg Boss would show a fuller picture of who he is. He added that during Bigg Boss 20, he would not get involved in any romantic connection. However, Gullu and Kanika’s chemistry has become a talking point on Salman Khan-hosted show BB 20.
