The popular and controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 15 never fails to make its massive fanbase across the nation go crazy during the eviction days. However, the show's makers made everyone lose their minds after BB 15 saw the departure of three contestants, including Jay Bhanushali, Neha Bhasin, and Vishal Kotian. Since his departure from the show, Vishal had questioned and had taken a dig at the show's makers for evicting him out of the show for unconvincing reasons.
In another explosive interview, Vishal Kotian opened up about his bond with Shamita Shetty and questioned her relationship with her actress-sister, Shilpa Shetty Kundra. The television actor also called Shamita a 'gullible' person.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Vishal Kotian opened up about his bond with Shamita Shetty and explained how the equation between them had changed during the course of the show, and particularly after Rajiv Adatia's entry inside the Bigg Boss 15 house. Calling Rajiv a jealous person, Vishal stated that it was him who had influenced Shamita with his clever and manipulative talks. However, the actor added that instead of Rajiv, he is much more disappointed with Shamita. Vishal explained:
"Basically, Rajiv Adatia is a jealous person. I will blame Shamita, she is kaan ki kacchi (gullible). Will she break ties with Shilpa Shetty if someone comes says wrong things about her? Then, why did she do that to me? It means the relationship was for the sake of the game from her side. Meri taraf se dil ka rishta, unki taraf se game ka ye meri samajh me kabhi nahi aaya.”
Going further in the interview, Vishal Kotian was also enquired whether he had tried to use Shamita Shetty for playing his game inside the Bigg Boss 15 house. Answering this, the actor explained that he is much stronger than Shamita when it comes to playing games inside the BB house. Calling her playing style like an elephant's walk, Vishal also added that he had once told Karan Kundrra that Shamita is one of the biggest drawbacks in the game. He said:
"I did not even get a chance to use Shamita. I was stronger than her in the game. I even told Karan Kundrra once that Shamita is a drawback in the game. I played with my mind while she played straight like an elephant."

In the same interview, Vishal Kotian also called Shamita Shetty, a weak contestant who breaks down so easily and constantly. Reflecting on how she becomes dependent on other people every now and then, Vishal also highlighted that she always sidelined him whenever she found a new contestant inside the house on whom she can depend. Sharing his experience with Shamita, he stated:
"I have clearly said Shamita Shetty is emotionally weak. She is a strong contestant, she does not need anyone. The problem is, she breaks down easily, and she has no one for her emotional support in the house. She becomes dependent on people entering the house every now and then. I am also upset that each time a new person entered Bigg Boss 15 house, she sidelined me."
