In the recent episode of Bigg Boss 14, young singer, Jaan Kumar Sanu made some controversial remarks about the Marathi language, and it has hurt the sentiments of the Maharathi community quite severely. Now his father and legendary singer, Kumar Sanu has come forward and issued an apology on his behalf to the Marathi community. The video message of the singer was uploaded on the Facebook page of famous Marathi-language newspaper, Saamana. In the video, the singer can be heard saying, "I have not been living with them for 27 years. I don't know what kind of upbringing his mother has given them. It was really wrong of him to speak like that. Anyone would have gotten offended by the same. As a father, I would like to apologise for his actions." Take a look:
For the uninitiated, Jaan Kumar Sanu had a heated argument with his fellow housemate, Rahul Vaidya and his anger had doubled when his crush, Nikki Tamboli had joined Rahul instead of standing by his side. As Nikki and Rahul had started talking in the Marathi, the irked Jaan Kumar had asked them not to talk in Marathi because he finds it irritating. Soon, we saw Jaan Kumar apologising to the Marathi community for his hurtful remarks, and a video of the same was posted by Colors TV on their IG handle. A small excerpt from his apology in the video can be heard as "Namaste, mera naam Jaan Kumar Sanu hai. Maine kuch dino pehle, anjaane mein hi sahi, magar maine ek galti ki, jisse Marathi logon ko, aur unke sentiments ko thes pahunchi hai. Main iss baat ke liye sincerely sorry kehna chahunga. Mera bilkul bhi intention nahi tha ke main Marathi logon ko thes ya chot pahunchaun. Agar mere intentions galat aaye hain saamne se, toh main uske liye tahe dil se maafi maangna chahunga. Bigg Boss I am really sorry ke maine aapko sharminda kiya hai, aur main aage se yeh baat bilkul repeat nahi karunga."
