However, the duo’s friendship had a fallout after Tanya started talking to Farrhana Bhatt. For the unversed, Farrhana shredded Neelam’s family letter during a task. In a recent interview with Viral Bhayani, the Bhojpuri actress opened up about her present equation with her ex-bestie, Tanya Mittal. She shared that first, Tanya unfollowed her, following which she too unfollowed her. She revealed that their friendship fallout kind of hurt her, as they were very good friends inside the BB 19 house. Neelam mentioned that she holds no grudge against Tanya, but if the spiritual influencer holds something in her heart, she cannot do anything. She was quoted as saying:

"Ha usne unfollow kiya tha, uske baad meine bhi usko unfollow kiya. Aur ha takleef hoti hai kyunki who meri dost rahi hai. Aur uske baad woh mujhe mili thi Bigg Boss ke party mein. Baatcheet hui, hug ki lekin pata nahi dekhte hai age kya hota hai. Mere tareef se toh koyi gila iskwa nahi hai. Agar uske maan mei kuch hai toh kya kar sakti hu."

Recently, the spiritual influencer, Tanya, visited Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple to seek the blessings of Ganpati Bappa. During her exit, she met the paparazzi and hinted at cutting ties with her close friend from Bigg Boss 19, Neelam Giri. Tanya shared that she has unfollowed the Bhojpuri actress on social media as the latter called her fake and a liar. The spiritual influencer mentioned that she didn’t like Neelam’s views about her. Tanya revealed that Neelam betrayed her trust. She was quoted as saying:

"I unfollowed her (Neelam) on social media. After coming out, I saw some clips from her interview in which she called me ‘fake’ and ‘a liar’. I didn’t like her views about me. I had trusted her a lot and shared a lot of things with her. But she betrayed my trust. If she is calling herself my friend, she shouldn’t have passed such remarks about me."

Tanya Mittal and Neelam Giri’s friendship fallout started inside the Bigg Boss 19, when the former started making bonds with Bigg Boss 19’s first runner-up, Farrhana Bhatt. During a captaincy task, the peace activist, Farrhana, shredded the Bhojpuri actress’s family letter. This act broke Neelam’s heart. She started crying inconsolably. While the housemates criticised Farrhana for the act, she considered it to be fair. Later, music composer, Amaal Mallik too strongly reacted to the same. He snatched the peace activist’s food plate, threw and broke it. For this, Amaal faced extreme backlash from the netizens and celebrities.

So, when Tanya started talking to Farrhana, Neelam broke her friendship with the former. She also called the spiritual influencer, 'dogli'. In a clip released by the BB 19 makers, the Bhojpuri actress vented her anger upon Tanya and questioned her growing fondness towards Farrhana. Neelam was quoted as saying:

"Mereko dosti main doglayi panti bilkul bhi nahi chahiye. Dosti khatam ho jata hai wahan pe. Tu isse kyu baat karti hain, merko ye bataa? Iss ghar mein sabse zyada isne mujhe rulaya hain, ye iske paas jaake kyu baat karti hain."
