A new poster of the film, Batwara 1947, was released, and it was shared by Kanikka Kapur on Instagram. In the poster, Kanikka was dressed up in a floral suit with a light brown-hued dupatta. Her look was completed with subtle makeup and unkempt hair. However, fans instantly confused her with Kiara Advani as she looked highly like her.

She started modelling at the age of 18 and has won beauty pageants such as Miss Mood Indigo, Femina Style Diva North, Manappuram Miss Queen Of India, Miss Asia, and more.
She rose to fame with her role in the TV serial Ek Duje Ke Vaaste 2. She played a significant role in this Rajkumar Santoshi-backed film starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta.
For the unversed, Batwara 1947 revolved around the courage shown at the time when the world was torn apart. The film was backed by Aamir Khan Productions and is set during the Indian and Pakistan partition, which marked mass migration, communal violence, and the displacement of many people after the end of the British Raj.
