Inside Bailey Zimmerman Personal Life As He Gets Charged With Felony After Violence Over Car Colour

Bailey Zimmerman has been making headlines after a warrant was issued against him for alleged damages of USD 16,000. According to reports, the singer cancelled his May 27, 2026, show, citing health reasons. However, a recently surfaced affidavit from New Mexico police has revealed what actually happened that night. The reports suggest that the singer smashed a guitar, destroyed a hotel room, spat at a security guard, and caused USD 16,000 in damage. Amid the warrant, the limelight has also shifted to his personal life. So, let's take a look at his love life and what happened on the night of May 27, 2026.

Is Bailey Zimmerman dating anyone?

Bailey Zimmerman has become a well-known star in recent years. However, his personal life remains largely private. The singer is not publicly dating anyone at the moment. It was in February 2025 that he introduced someone special to his followers. Taking to his Instagram handle, the singer penned that he didn't need a girlfriend because he already wakes up to the most beautiful girl every morning. And no, it was not a person but rather the picture of him and his beautiful golden retriever, Marley May. He was quoted as saying:

"I don’t need a girlfriend…I wake up to the prettiest girl in the world every morning. MARLEY MAY."

Regardless, the singer has often shared how he wishes to get married and is actively looking for a wife. In an interview, he even mentioned how his partner must earn the stamp of approval from his dogs. While he has often mentioned that he was "talking to someone" in the past, he has never named any persion or romantic experiences. 

Why is Bailey Zimmerman being charged?

According to a court document obtained by TMZ on June 22, 2026 (ET), prosecutors in Bernalillo County, New Mexico, filed criminal papers on June 18, 2026 (ET), seeking an arrest warrant against the country music star. He faces one felony charge for criminal damage to property over USD 1,000 and two misdemeanour counts of falsely obtaining services. The reports revealed that Bailey Zimmerman was scheduled to perform at the amphitheatre at Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque on May 27, 2026 (ET). However, he never made it to the stage.

According to the affidavit, Zimmerman "stumbled" onto the stage during the soundcheck and then smashed his guitar before "tripping over the stage and falling backwards." However, the damage didn't stop there; he proceeded to kick a drum set, throw a microphone to the ground, throw two cymbals across the stage, and push a guitarist "angrily". Hotel security soon reported that he appeared intoxicated throughout the evening and kept stumbling and falling. He even stormed off the stage several times, only to return angrier. Zimmerman allegedly then spat towards a security guard, reportedly upset that his "SUV was the wrong colour".

Bailey Zimmerman cancelled his show, citing that he was not "feeling well"

The same night, Bailey Zimmerman took to Instagram and alleged that he had to cancel the show due to health issues. The statement was the complete opposite of what the affidavit had alleged. The singer was quoted as saying:

"Y'all know there's nothing I love more than getting out on the road and playing these shows for you, so it's so hard for me to have to say this, but I have to reschedule tonight's (5/27) and Saturday's (5/30) shows. I have not been feeling well and have tried to power through, but I'm not able to give you all the show you deserve."

Housekeeping found USD 16,000 worth of damage to the room the next morning

The next morning, when the housekeeper went to Bailey Zimmerman's room, he found it destroyed. The damage included a smashed television, a broken phone, a destroyed coffee table, and two broken chairs. Staff also reported a hole in one wall, damage to several others, stains on the carpet, and two missing chairs. The hotel estimated the total damage to be roughly USD 16,000. Additionally, the singer had also left an unpaid bill of USD 400 for alcohol, which accounts for falsely obtained service charges. The court attempted to contact Zimmerman and his team. However, after receiving no response, the prosecutors sought an arrest warrant.
