Tyler Cameron and Tate Madden get engaged
Tyler Cameron revealed that he is now engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Tate Madden, on August 15, 2026. A while ago, the reality TV star took to his Instagram to share the happy news while also giving a glimpse into the romantic beach proposal. For their special occasion, Tyler chose Little Palm Island in the Florida Keys.
Tyler posted two snaps, with the first one showing the moment he got down on one knee for Tate. He kept things casual, wearing a white shirt and matching white pants. Meanwhile, Tate wore a mini white dress with a floral design. In the second picture, the couple can be seen happily embracing each other. He wrote in the caption, “Better late than never, they say.”
Within minutes of Tyler making the post, his fellow Bachelor alumni showered the couple with love. For instance, Colton Underwood wrote, “Congrats you two. Sending so much love.” Justin Glaze added, “Alright alright alright congrats y'all!” Tayshia Adams penned, “Yayyyy! Congrats to you both! Perfect match!”
Becca Tilley wrote, “Congratulations! So happy for y'all!” Tyler’s brother, Ryan Cameron, also quipped in the comment section, writing, “He did it, people.”
For those unaware, Tyler Cameron and Tate Madden met through a mutual friend. The model revealed the same during her appearance on the Trading Secrets podcast in 2024. Tate said that before they began dating, she thought that she and Tyler were good friends. But the Bachelorette star did not even know who she was. In her words:
“Tyler and I actually met a couple times before he remembered meeting me. I thought Tyler and I were actually good friends. Turns out he didn’t know who I was.”
Later, Tyler opened up about why he wanted to keep his relationship with Tate Madden as private as possible. He suggested that he was worried people would nitpick on his relationship, and while he is used to that because he has “been in this scene” for a long time, not everyone should have to go through that. Tyler wanted to make sure that he and Tate were in a great place before they started. He stated:
“I’ve been in this scene before for a long time. People like to nitpick and like to judge and all that. And I’ve dealt with it, but not everyone else has, and that can be a lot. And so I just wanted to make sure we were in a great place before we started that.”
Tyler Cameron had previously hinted at a proposal while talking about Tate Madden
According to reports, Tate was initially hired to work for the reality star before their professional relationship took a romantic turn. In May 2025, Tyler gushed about his girlfriend and hinted that a proposal was on the way. He was quoted as saying:
“I think she is everything that I've ever wanted in somebody. She is also my best friend on top of that. I think that's all a good recipe right there.”
Before he got into a relationship with Tate, Tyler Cameron was linked to supermodel Gigi Hadid in early August 2019. This was shortly after his stint on The Bachelorette ended. Reports suggest that things between them were pretty short-lived, as they broke up just a few months later, in October 2019.
