If you have been keeping up with his works, you might be aware that it has only been a few weeks since his latest movie, Baby Girl, was released theatrically on January 23, 2026. The plot of Baby Girl revolves around an infant who suddenly disappears from the hospital, the Good Shepherd Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. Notably, it was the doing of a man wearing a purdah who kidnapped her from the hospital on Christmas Eve. Among the list of suspects is 'Sanal Mathew', a hospital attendant played by Nivin Pauly, who finds out about the missing baby after he arrives late at work.  

While the police investigation is still ongoing, 'Sanal' decided to search for the perpetrators all on his own. While every action is closely monitored, viewers also start to wonder whether ‘Sanal’ is truly innocent or has another motive. Only at the end of Baby Girl will the main question be answered about who is behind the baby's kidnapping and what other secrets are hidden in the case.  

How does Nivin Pauly's Malayalam thriller, Baby Girl, come to an end? 

The main issues that the film, Baby Girl, raises are why the baby was kidnapped in the first place and whether or not the child will safely return to her parents. While watching the film, something that becomes completely clear is that the baby's mother has no interest in raising her. The same is true for her other relatives as well. In one of the scenes, the baby's mother can be seen having a conversation with 'Rithu', where she tells the latter to keep her newborn. The mother also urges 'Rithu' to show her child the love that she deserves.  

Now, after 'Rithu' agrees to the pleas of the baby's mother and tries to run away with the infant by train, that is when she comes face to face with 'Sanal', who reveals his intention to give the baby back to her biological mother. In an effort to stop him, 'Rithu' shares with 'Sanal' the conversation that she had with the child's mother. Once 'Sanal' confirms that 'Rithu' is telling the truth after making a phone call, he changes his mind and helps her flee the place. In the end, 'Sanal' provides the police with a false statement. His actions show viewers that everything he did was based on what he believed was morally correct, even if it cost him his reputation and his job at the hospital.
