Babil Khan has emerged as one of the best star kids in contemporary times. The son of the legendary late actor, Irrfan Khan and his wife, Sutapa Sikdar, Babil, has impressed everyone with his roles in his recently released movies and series. He debuted in Bollywood with the psychological drama, Qala, starring Triptii Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee.
Babil Khan was last seen in the Netflix series, The Railway Men, alongside the Bollywood biggies, Kay Kay Menon, R. Madhavan, and Divyenndu. While people are lauding the actor for his impeccable and wide range of acting, others are all hearts about his gentlemanly behaviour. Recently, Babil conversed with Humans Of Bombay about his childhood, parents, profession, and dating life. What caught our attention was when he disclosed his definition of love. He politely talked about how a woman is not an achievement, and that a man cannot acquire her. He said:
“I think love is when you completely surrender to the equality of your partner. I think love is when you completely understand the femininity within you and the masculinity within her, right? And you also have to understand that she's not an achievement, right it's so important to understand that you don't get girls. That statement we're so used to saying, ‘bro, I got this girl,’ you know, and that is such an actually a really regressive statement, yeah you can't acquire, yeah you don't acquire a woman. You partner up with a woman, and I think my definition of love is just to surrender to the innate equality of me and you.”

A short clip of the same interview, with Babil’s statement regarding love, has gone viral. The video shared by a page on Instagram has received over 9.5 million views and close to 800K likes. Netizens have taken to the comment section of the post and poured in love and appreciation for the actor. One user wrote, “Kudos to the parents to have raised such a boy. In the same interview, when the host asked Babil Khan to talk about masculinity, the actor’s beautiful words again stole the limelight. He explained that a true man is someone who is able to accept the duality of being a ‘man’. And he further highlighted that it is absolutely cruel that men disregard their feminine side. He said:
“I think a true man is somebody who can gracefully accept the duality of themselves. Every man and every woman has both the yin and yang inside them. It is absolutely cruel for a man to disregard his feminine side. I think a man must understand that right, and when he understands that there is an innate sensitivity, there is an innate desire to listen, and there is an innate music that kind of evokes inside you, and I think that's what masculinity is about.”
Towards the end of the interview, Babil Khan also revealed that he is a ‘hopeless romantic’. He further mentioned that when he was dating, he would bring flowers and remember his partner's favourite music or place to go. He would also pamper her during her menstrual cycles. He further added:
“I am a hopeless romantic like I will do these little extra efforts for you. When I was dating back in the day, I would do those things like I would get those flowers every day, some days I would miss, but that's okay, like in a week, at least three to four times, I would get those flowers, you know, and I would remember what she likes and where she likes to go and the food she likes and the music she likes and the art she likes and all of these things. I'd keep giving surprises, and if she can, I think we should normalise this when she's on her period you know I would take care of her even though she doesn't need to be taken care of, I know, but I would pamper her for no reason there is no reason, but I would pamper her.”
