In an interview with Reuters, the head of the development committee of the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF), Haji Arfat Shaikh shared some major details regarding the construction of Ayodhya Masjid. The committee head revealed that the construction is scheduled to begin in May 2024, following the holy month of Ramadan. As per Haji Arfat, Ayodhya Mosque will take approximately three to four years to complete.

A lot of reports are also suggesting that the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF), the trust that is overseeing the construction of Ayodhya Masjid, don't have adequate money as of now. Besides the financial struggles, the introduction of traditional elements like minarets is also responsible for the delay in Ayodhya Masjid's construction. However, things are reportedly going to take a fast route in the coming months as an online platform for devotees, who want to donate money for the construction of Ayodhya Masjid will be launched. #1. Ayodhya Masjid's name is not going to be known as Babri Masjid

According to Haji Arfat Shaikh, who is the head of the development committee of the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF), talked about the name of Ayodhya Masjid. The committee head revealed the name of Ayodhya Masjid, and it is 'Masjid Muhammed bin Abdullah', which is after Prophet Muhammad.

#2. Ayodhya Masjid is going to hold the world's biggest Quran bound in saffron colour

Ayodhya Masjid is going to be one of the most famous masjids in the world, and it can be understood by the fact that it will host the world's biggest Quran. As per BJP leader, Haji Arafat Shaikh, Ayodhya Masjid is going to have a Quran measuring 21 feet high and 36 feet wide. However, what's interesting is that the Quran is going to be bound in the saffron colour, which is associated with Khwaja Muinuddin Chishti Ajmer.

#3. Ayodhya Masjid will be the first mosque to have five pillars

Another interesting thing about the Ayodhya Masjid is that it will be the first mosque in India to have five minarets. The mosque will represent the five central tenets of Islam, which are Kalima, Namaz, Roza, Zakat, and Hajj.

Not only this, Masjid Muhammed bin Abdullah's prayer hall will have the capacity to welcome 9,000 people at once, which is the second highest after Delhi's Jama Masjid, which can accommodate 25,000 worshippers.

#4. Ayodhya Masjid will have a fish aquarium bigger than the one in Dubai

In an interview with a media publication, Haji Arfat Shaikh, who is the head of the development committee of the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF), also shared that Ayodhya Masjid is going to have a large aquarium.

The reason behind it is to have a fun element inside the premises of Ayodhya Masjid for small children. Haji Shaikh also added that the fish aquarium is going to be bigger than the one in Dubai. Although he had yet to specify the name of the fish aquarium, by mentioning Dubai, he has definitely raised everyone's expectations.

#5. Ayodhya Masjid will be even more expensive than Aligarh's Jama Masjid

Not everyone knows that some crucial parts of Aligarh's Jama Masjid are made up of gold, making it one of Asia's most expensive mosques. As per multiple reports, the domes and minarets are studded with gold and are referred to as 'gold studded mosques'.

Many media reports have claimed that the amount of gold inlaid on the minarets and domes of Aligarh's Jama Masjid is far more than any Masjid in all of Asia.
