It was Alia Bhatt’s official declaration by calling her beau, Ranbir Kapoor, ‘mine’ on national television that had won many hearts and had broken many too. It was in 2017 while shooting for Brahmastra, that love had blossomed between Ranbir and Alia and the two had fallen head-over-heels.
For the past few days, there have been rumours about Ranbir and Alia's wedding. It was Alia's uncle, Robin Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt's half-brother who had confirmed the news of their wedding to ETimes. Sharing details about the same, he had shared that Ranbir and Alia will tie the knot on April 14, 2022.

A few moments back, Alia and Ranbir's close friend and director, Ayan Mukerji congratulated them on their union. Releasing the first song, Kesariya, as a gift for the lead pair from their upcoming movie, Brahmastra, Ayan penned a long note for Ranbir and Alia as they embark on a new journey of their life. In the song, Ranbir and Alia's chemistry is unmissable. Along with the video, Ayan wrote an emotional note on behalf of the entire Brahmastra team and it can be read as:
"For Ranbir and For Alia! And… For this Sacred Journey they are going to embark on soon! Ranbir and Alia… my closest and dearest people in this world… my happy place, and my safe place… who have added everything to my life… and given themselves completely and selflessly to our movie…!"
Celebrating their union, Ayan continued the note, while Alia commented with an array of hearts. Take a look:
"We just had to share a piece of their union, from our movie, from our song Kesariya, to Celebrate them… as a Gift to them, and to Everyone!! Wishing that the best of Energies and all the Blessings, all the Joy and all the Purity, surround them as they enter an amazing new chapter of life, together forever."

A few months back, the cast of Brahmastra had attended the poster launch event in Hyderabad, where Ayan had revealed how Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's outing as a couple had ruined his film. Ayan had stated that he never wanted anyone to see Ranbir and Alia as a couple before the release of his film. In his words:
"To be honest, when we started our film, I thought this is the best casting- Ranbir and Alia, powerhouses. It was just too good. Then Ranbir and Alia became very good friends, then very very very good friends in life, then more than friends. So then, I didn't want the whole world to see them for these 4 years. I didn't want anyone to see them till my film had not come out. So, Lots of things haven’t happened in their lives because every time they went out together, I would be sitting at the back saying 'you all are ruining my film. Please don't go anywhere.' It feels good now that we can share them."
