Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleEmraan Hashmi is all set for the second instalment of his 2007 film, Awarapan, directed by Mohit Suri. The teaser of Awarapan 2 was released on the 19th anniversary of the first film. And while fans cannot wait to see Emraan Hashmi reliving the character 'Shivam', there was a time when Emraan had a huge fight with Mallika Sherawat, with whom he had given the blockbuster hit, Murder.
It was 2004 when Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat stopped speaking after their film, Murder. There were some rude statements and remarks made by the two, which left them hurt, so much so that they refused to work together. It was after twenty years that they let bygones be bygones and spotted together, sharing laughs.

For the uninitiated, Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat's Murder was a super hit film. The actors shared sizzling chemistry in the first instalment of the film. During one of the Koffee With Karan episodes, Emraan stated that the worst on-screen kiss he had with Mallika Sherawat. Not only this, he stated that Jacqueline Fernandez was a better kisser in Murder 2. He took another dig at Mallika by stating that he would find 'An Idiot's Guide To Succeed in Hollywood' book in her bedroom.
Years later, Emraan talked about the feud and his bitter equation with her. He stated that she thinks it was extremely childish of them. He stated that they had a misunderstanding during promotions and it was uncalled for and extremely childish on her part. He added that she lost touch with him and it was really sad as he was an amazing co-star. He said:
"We were so young, silly and stupid. You know, ego comes in the way. Industry main kaan bhi bohot bharte hain na log. (People fill your ears in the industry). I was advised wrong. He's a great guy. He's a wonderful human being. I have great memories of filming with him, even doing those intimate scenes. He was an absolute gentleman. He made me feel safe, and really good about myself."
Emraan Hashmi's Awarapan 2 teaser is introduced as 'Shivam', a.k.a. to the audience, and he says, "Dard se purana rishta hai mera." Emraan was seen paying homage to the grave of 'Aaliyah Hamid', the character which was played by Shriya Saran. Further, he narrates his story. He said that some people's stories don't end with their consent, and they are written. And it seems like Hashmi is all set to settle his score and continue the story where it was left. He said:
"Kuch logon ki kahaniya unki marzi se khatam nahi hoti; unki kahani doosron ke liye likhi jaati hai."
For those who don't know, Awarapan 1 has been a cult classic since its release in 2007. From its songs to storyline, everything was a hit. The storyline was completely different for the audience at that time, specifically after Emraan Hashmi built a particular reputation with his on-screen roles, and he was playing ‘Shivam,’ the right-hand man of a criminal gangster.
