A relationship that began with the teenage ‘puppy love’ led to a Bollywood style romantic candlelit proposal and a grand wedding, but unfortunately, it didn’t see the light of the ‘happily ever after’. Three years post their marriage on June 09, 2014, Imran and Avantika were blessed with a beautiful baby girl whom they named Imara Malik Khan. 8 years down the lane, came a report about the trouble in Imran and Avantika’s paradise and this piece of news did break our hearts!
A while back, Avantika Malik had also dropped the ‘Khan’ surname from her name. On September 7, 2019, Avantika posted a cryptic quote on her Instagram story stressing on the importance of ‘walking away’ but deleted it after some time. Quoting American musician, Morgan Harper Nichols, "Sometimes, you have to walk away. You have to look at the things you're giving energy to and realize that even though you could stay, and try to win their approval or try to make it up their ladder, you could also make the brave choice to take whatever energy you have left to a space that welcomes you. It's never an easy decision to make, and it's never easy to accept that you might be walking down a path that will involve risk and new unknowns, but there are times in life where walking away is the best thing to do for your health and who you are becoming. Even if it means that people will change their opinions of you, opinions of you that are not even rooted in truth. You may still need to walk away, trusting there is so much more ahead of you." Avantika captioned it, “Needed to see this today.”
As per a SpotboyE report, post Imran Khan and Avantika Malik’s separation, she had been finding it hard to move on and cope up with the issues in her life. Unable to tackle the differences she is having with her husband and the troubles in their marital life, Avantika is seeking stability by joining a wellness centre. Avantika is taking sessions for 2 hours, every day, with self-healing expert and astrologer, Ramona Cerdecai. About Imran Khan and Avantika Malik taking some time off their marriage, DNA had quoted a source as saying, “Avantika allegedly left 24, Pali Hill, Imran’s residence, a while ago with Imara. It is being said that she is currently staying with her family.” Later, Avantika’s mother, Vandana Malik had rubbished such conjectures and had stated to In.com, “We all read the news and let me tell you that there’s no such thing. There are some differences, which will be sorted anyway.” When asked if divorce was on the cards, Vandana had said, “Absolutely not.”
In a throwback interview, Avantika Malik was once all praises for her hubby, Imran Khan. She had remarked, “He's fantastic. He's the best person to live with because he is able to be with you and be supportive, and also gives you tremendous space. He really looks after me, I have to give him that. I am an ordinary girl in love with a boy who happens to be a movie star. I just feel like I fell in love with this boy 10 years ago, he was a 19-20 then, and though he's grown tremendously in many ways, his core being is still the same. I give Imran a lot of credit because he hasn't changed in any way. Except that he's more confident as he knows what he's achieved.”
In yet another interview with a Men’s Health magazine, Imran Khan had shared that Avantika Malik makes him really angry. Yes, he had then shared, “It makes me angrier than any other human being. We fight a lot, but that’s how relationships are meant to be. They’re never perfect but you still stay put if they nourish you in some way, and if you are getting something valuable from them.” He had further added, “Different people have different ways to make a relationship work.
