The critically-acclaimed director joined hands with Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan for one of the most anticipated movies of 2023, Jawan.
For the unversed, at the age of 19, Atlee assisted iconic filmmaker, S. Shankar in the notable films, Enthiran, Nanban, and many more. The popular filmmaker, Atlee’s wife, Krishna Priya is an actress. The stunning diva has worked in many films like Naan Mahaan Alla, Red Chillies, Yuva Ratna, and Psycho Varma. The actress was all over the news in January 2023 when she welcomed her first baby, Meer, with her director-husband, Atlee.
When Atlee was penning the script of his debut film, Raja Rani, his then-future-wife, Krishna Priya was working in television shows. Both celebrities were keen to make a name for themselves in the industry. At that moment, they met for the first time through their common friends. Their love for cinema played the role of cupid in their love story.
After a series of meetings, Atlee and Krishna Priya started meeting and talking to each other quite frequently. Soon, they became close friends and fell in love with each other shortly. At that time, Atlee was working on his debut as a director, and it was Krishna Priya, who stood with him and helped him get through the entire process.

When Atlee was enjoying the success of his debut film, Raja Rani, Krishna Priya’s parents were searching for a suitable boy for their daughter. The actress told Atlee about it, and the filmmaker indirectly proposed to her in the most filmy way. Atlee jokingly said to Krishna, “Why don’t you show my horoscope to them?”. After Priya went home, she thought about getting married to Atlee and asked him, “What made you say so?”. In response to it, Atlee said, “I just said what I felt. If you are interested I shall come and talk to your family.” It was at that moment that Krishna knew that Atlee was the one with whom she wanted to spend the rest of her life.
Soon after this incident, Krishna Priya talked to her parents and told them about Atlee, and both families agreed as they had known Atlee and his family from the time when the filmmaker invited them to the premiere of his debut film, Raja Rani. Both families agreed to the decision, and on November 9, 2014, Atlee and Krishna Priya got married in a traditional wedding.

The lovely couple, Atlee and Krishna Priya embraced parenthood when they welcomed a baby boy after 8 years of their marriage on January 31, 2023. The couple shared the news with their million fans through a collaborative post on Instagram. In the picture, Atlee and Krishna Priya could be spotted lying on the bed and holding a pair of little shoes in their hands. Along with the adorable picture, Atlee and Krishna penned a note in the caption, and it could be read as:
"They were right. There’s no feeling in the world like this. And just like that our baby boy is here! A new exciting adventure of parenthood starts today! Grateful. Happy. Blessed."
