Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul tied the knot in a dreamy wedding ceremony on January 23, 2023. Since then, the couple has blessed our feed with their mushy chemistry and endearing romance. It has been almost a year since the couple has been living in marital bliss. However, the rumour mills have recently been going crazy with the possibility of Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul expecting their first baby together.
Athiya Shetty attended an event of TODS on April 5, 2024. For this event, she slipped into a chic beige-hued cropped vest coat layered with a beige rolled-up shirt and dark-washed mid-rise jeans. Athiya accessorised her look with golden stacked bracelets and gold hoops. She completed her look with neutral glam makeup, a black clutch, and black loafers. For her hairdo, she twisted it gracefully into a half-up-half-down hairstyle.

Athiya seemed in a good mood as she jumped around with her brother, Ahan Shetty. The siblings twinned in beige hues, as Ahan also opted for a co-ord set in the same tone. Ahan’s OOTN featured a black vest layered with a beige shirt and trousers in the same hue. After the siblings posed for the shutterbugs, Athiya jumped and channeled her goofy self.

Suniel Shetty is currently judging the dance reality show, Dance Deewane alongside Madhuri Dixit. In their grandparent special episode, Suniel Shetty said that he will be walking like a nana next season. This remark caused a stir as people thought that Suniel Shetty indirectly announced Athiya’s pregnancy. In Suniel Shetty’s words:
“Yes next season when I come I will be walking on the stage like a Nana.”

An insider close to the couple clarified that Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul are not expecting their first child, and Suniel Shetty made the ‘nana’ remark as a joke. The insider added that Athiya and Rahul are enjoying their marital life and are in no hurry to embrace parenthood anytime soon. The insider further added:
“There is no truth in the buzz. Suniel’s nana remark was said in a jest and in a very informal way. His remarks have been misinterpreted by all. It was a fun conversation, Suniel said it as a joke. Now, even he is surprised how his comment has been perceived by everyone. In fact, he didn’t want this buzz at all. It was unintentional. Several people haven’t seen the whole clip and are just assuming based on the reactions by social media users. He is shocked by all this.”
