Following this, the duo was together from 2019 to 2023 and eventually broke up, which came as a shock to their followers. Asim and Himanshi never really opened up publicly about their split; however, recently they came forward to share their side of the story.
Asim Riaz takes shots at Himanshi Khuarana, revealing how she wanted to patch up with him
In a podcast with Paras Chhabra, Himanshi talked about the emotional toll she faced due to her past relationship. While she said that she was not asked to convert, she also revealed that she felt that she was betraying her own god because of this. Now, Asim Riaz came forward to share his side of the story. He first dropped a post on IG and claimed that Himanshi willingly sparked controversy as she was desperate for attention. He also took shots at her, saying that he was the one to push her towards fitness, and that he had never asked anybody to change their religion.
Asim slammed Himanshi for sparking a conversation about a deeply sensitive topic. Apart from that, Asim recently posted some tweets, wherein he further made some claims about his past relationship. He explained his personal perspective on the reasons for the issues that Himanshi earlier in the podcast shared to have faced. He went on to add that the issues aren't the reason for a 'bad relationship'. In the same tweet, Asim further questioned why Himanshi tried to get back together with him if she thought it was a 'bad relationship'. Asim's exact words were:
"Bad relationship-thyroid, anxiety, depression, nosebleed, face old, Smell from hair, face acne: So why did you msg me after 3 months in March and wanted to get back to this relationship? Don’t worry, I have the msg, screenshot; if needed, I will post next time."
Asim also slammed Paras Chabbar, on whose podcast Himanshi opened up about her past relationship. On a now-deleted IG post, he bodyshamed Paras by reportedly calling him a 'pig'. He slammed his Bigg Boss 13 co-star and mentioned that he should just spend more time in the gym and less time discussing people's personal lives. Asim's comments were:
"To the man behind the microphone, sitting there with his stomach hanging out like a pig while making gossip his profession, brother, respectfully, I’d suggest spending a little less time discussing other people’s lives and a little more time in the gym."
What did Himanshi Khurana say about her past relationship?
While on Paras Chhabra's podcast, Himanshi Khurana revealed that she was being told good things about 'his' religion. Himanshi didn't openly name Asim, but mentioned that he told her good things about his religion, while adding that he never misbehaved with her, or so. Himanshi further stated that it was something that she never wanted to pursue. Himanshi stated that in her mind, she felt like she was betraying her god, and she decided to visit Chardham, thinking it was a 'goodbye', because she thought she wouldn't be able to meet God ever again.
However, Himanshi then broke up with Asim, and it became a topic of discussion. The reason was stated to be 'religious differences'. To add, Himanshi never said that Asim forced her to convert or something like that; rather, she stated that the conversation would make her feel that she was kind of betraying what she believed in.
