Chloe Fineman faced backlash after revealing she ‘pantsed' a boy at 16
During an interview with Vanity Fair, Chloe Fineman was seen playing a game alongside her Saturday Night Live co-stars Mikey Day, Ashley Padilla, Sarah Sherman, Jane Wickline, and James Austin Johnson. In the game, they had to test how well they knew each other. One of the questions that Chloe asked her castmates was to guess which job she was fired from and later rehired for when she was 16.
Even though they made several guesses, none of them turned out to be right. This prompted Chloe to reveal, “I was fired as a camp counselor.” Following her revelation, Mikey asked her if it was for “hitting on the campers.” To this, Chloe replied, “No, I pantsed a boy.” Her confession left her co-stars visibly shocked. Recalling the experience, Chloe added:
“Because he would lift my shirt all the time. It was a different time. He’d be like, ‘Hey, could I have a hug?’ And then I’d go to hug him, and he’d lift my shirt like a d---. And then I was like, ‘I’m gonna get back at you.’”
According to Chloe, she and the boy were on a hike when she told him to go and look at a hawk. She took the opportunity to yank his pants down, leading her to lose her job. In her words:
“So we were on a hike, and I was like, ‘Hey [name], go look over there, it's a hawk. And then I yanked his pants down, and then I was fired.”
Chloe Fineman’s statements immediately went viral online, with many noticing details like how the boy in question was around 6 years old at the time. This was removed from the rest of the interview, which was later posted on the outlet's YouTube page.
When the original clip of the interview was shared on X (formerly Twitter), users took to the comments to slam the SNL star and react to the story. One user wrote, “Anytime you gotta say, ‘it was a different time,’ maybe stop.” A comment read, “This is such a disturbing thing to admit in an interview, and omg the uncomfortable laughter among the cast mates I feel so bad for them.”
A third user penned, “Can’t comprehend how any public figure in 2026 would share this story proudly and publicly, regardless of whether or not they personally think it's an issue. How can you not see how people will react to this? Baffling.”
Why is Chloe Fineman leaving SNL after 7 years?
As of now, Chloe Fineman has not revealed the exact reason why she is exiting SNL. However, according to reports online, her decision might have something to do with the fact that she is in talks to join Netflix's Myron Bolitar. For those unaware, it is loosely based on Harlan Coben’s book series. Opening up about leaving SNL after 7 seasons, she took to social media and wrote:
"After 7 wonderful seasons at SNL, I have decided it’s time for my next chapter. It’s cliché to say this, but working at SNL has been the greatest privilege of my life. I still can’t really believe I got to be a part of it. I fell in love with the place the second I walked through the door. Lorne (if you’re reading this on your burner account), I want you to know that I am forever in your debt.”
