Yaari Hai Imaan Mera Yaar Meri Zindagi – for some people, friendship is above all the relationships. Having a friend, who accepts you despite all your shortcomings is something to always boast about. Best friends are those siblings who know all your crazy habits and dark secrets and still support you in everything. They make fun of you, pull your leg and embarrass you but dare anybody else say anything about you, they make sure to stand like a pillar for you. Talking about yaari, how can we forget about the great bond between Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor. The two share a great bond and are often seen pulling each other’s leg on social media. They both even call each other baba and always have each other’s back. Their powerpack performance in Gunday was much appreciated and their camaraderie was visible in the movie.
In an interview with the Mid-Day, Arjun opened up about his relationship with Ranveer and said that the two of them are very close to each other and they always give opinions about each other’s work. He also revealed that he has not taken Ranveer’s advice on working on the period film, Panipat as Ranveer’s point of view is quite similar to Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Whereas Ashutosh Gowariker has a different take on period films. He stated, “Ashu sir and Sanjay sir make magnum opuses, but they have different temperaments. Here, I respected my director’s temperament. I wanted to remain loyal to my story.”
Adding further about Ranveer’s take on period films, Arjun retorted by saying, “Ashu sir and Sanjay sir make magnum opuses, but they have different temperaments. Arjun and Ranveer not only share a comfortable space with each other but their friendship is such that the two are there for each other in need. Talking about the same, Arjun said, “He still gatecrashes my dubbing, sends long voice messages after watching my songs and kisses me on the cheeks.” According to Arjun, even after Ranveer’s marriage, their friendship is still going strong like earlier and he constantly tells Ranveer’s wife, Deepika that he is her souten.
During the time of rumours of his best friend, Ranveer’s wedding with Deepika, Arjun had maintained his silence and like always had dodged the question. In an interaction with Zee News, Arjun was asked about his baba’s wedding and very smartly dodging the question, he had stated, “I don’t know about that Baba (Ranveer) and I don’t know about this Baba (referring to himself). I think Baba and Baba are married to each other (laughs). Hum dono ki shaadi ho chuki hai.”
On October 23, 2019, when Arjun Kapoor's ladylove, Malaika Arora had turned a year older, he had taken to Instagram and had posted an unseen picture of them and had captioned it with a ‘heart’. On the same post, it was none other than Arjun’s best friend, Ranveer who had left a comment “Love”, followed by an array of heart emojis. This is not the first time the two have been pulling each other’s leg.
In August 2019, Ranveer held an Instagram Live session with his fans where his wife, Deepika had written, “Hi Daddie", with a wave, a heart, and a baby emoji. Ranveer had also commented, "Hi baby!" What happened after that was just hilarious. Ranveer’s BFF, Arjun had reacted to the comments and had written, “Baba bhabhi is gonna give u one."
