Mom – just one word, but it’s filled with countless emotions and all the love. But what if your mom leaves you suddenly for her heavenly abode. No one can even think of it, right? It’s more like a nightmare. But there is one of the mumma’s boys from the showbiz world, who lost his mom and the void is never to be filled. We are talking about one and only, Ishqzaade fame, Arjun Kapoor.
It has been six long years that Arjun’s mom Mona Kapoor left them. Just like any other babies, there has never been any moment when Arjun and Anshula (Arjun’s sister) haven’t thought about her. Or wished if she would have been there with them to see where Arjun and Anshula have reached, professionally as well as in their personal lives.
On March 25, it was Mona’s death anniversary and the loving beta took to Instagram to share a lovely picture with her along with a heartfelt message. Following is the picture with the caption that read, “As I was shooting by a canal today in Patiala wishing I could send you a picture of how nice the location was Mom I realised I never quite got to walk the red carpet with you to show you one of my films but I’m certain in the last 6 years you have walked every step of the way with me thru these 9 films Along with mine & Anshula s personal journeys...wish you were here Mom so much has transpired so much where I would have looked at you for answers and looked at you to draw strength...I don’t know if I’m doing a decent job at it but I’m taking one day at a time and making each moment count trying to be a truthful reflection of you and your teachings...can’t believe it’s been 6 years to the day but I have thought of you every breath I have taken please smile spread your warmth n positivity wherever you are cause god knows the world me and Anshula need it...love you forever and beyond...”
This is really very touching! It’s easy to say that the loss is disheartening but it’s the most difficult for the ones who are bearing it. To tell you all, Boney Kapoor married Mona Shourie in the year 1983 and they got divorced in 1996. Their divorce was one of the much-hyped ones in the tinsel town as legendary actress Sridevi ji (who passed away in February) fell in love with Boney and was titled as a home breaker. In one of her interviews, shattered Mona was quoted as saying, "He (Boney) was 10 years older to me. I was 19 when I married him. So I literally grew up with him. Ours was a 13-year-old marriage. So it came as a shock when I realised that my husband was in love with somebody else... There was nothing left in the relationship to give it a chance because Sridevi was already with a child." Mona passed away in the year 2012 because of cancer.
Though Arjun never got over what Sridevi did to his family, he had a cordial relationship with rest of the Kapoor Khandaan. But Mona’s teachings and what we can say sanskaars are aptly reflected in Arjun and Anshula. The reason why we are saying so is that at the time of the sudden demise of Sridevi ji, Arjun and Anshula both were by their father Boney Kapoor and step-sisters Janhvi and Khushi’s side. To everyone’s surprise, they were there with them through the tough time. And this act of Arjun and Anshula increased the respect of their fans and other too.
Well, no one can fill the void in Arjun and Anshula’s lives, but our love and good wishes are always with them.
