No matter with whom, how long and how many relationships, a Bollywood celebrity has had in his/her life; the one thing which makes us the happiest is when we get to hear their wedding news. Some couples like to keep it totally under the wraps and suddenly we learn that they got married in a hush-hush ceremony. Some couples make their relationship public but their wedding is a private affair like Virushka and DeepVeer. And then, there are others whose wedding reports remain rife for almost a year, and definitely, Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor fall in this last category. Ever since Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor were snapped at a fashion event last year, conjectures of their relationship started to make it to the Page 3s. And then, this duo started getting clicked at many events and on their dinner dates. Naturally, reports of their wedding soon took over the headlines and it was reported that on April 19, 2019, Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor were supposed to get married. That obviously didn’t happen and the wedding reports turned out to be merely a hoax.
Arjun Kapoor, in an interview with the DNA, has now commented on his wedding with Malaika Arora. Sharing that he is no hurry to get married, the Panipat actor said, “No, I am not. I’m 33 and you have to take my word when I say, I’m in no hurry to get married.” He also added that if he was getting married, people would not know that and not make any speculations. He retorted, “The subject of my wedding is not something that I would like to talk about. Frankly, if I was tying the knot, people would know about it. Today, nothing stays or needs to be hidden beyond a point.”
Arjun Kapoor also shared his thoughts on the media speculations and said that he doesn’t like to respond to it all the time and he admitted that there has been too much gossip on the subject of his and Malaika’s wedding. The 33-year-old actor was quoted as saying, “The Speculation is harmless. But I admit, I don’t like to respond to it all the time. Also, it gets tiring for the people involved to constantly react. There has been so much gossip on this subject that even the people who earlier tended to believe it are no longer doing so. I don’t have anything against anyone.”
Finally saying that he doesn’t want to justify his personal life, Arjun Kapoor asserted, “What the world is seeing, they are seeing. However, I have no desire to justify my personal life beyond a point. It is important to have good people around me and I feel fortunate that I have such individuals in my life.” (Must Read: Hiten Tejwani Says He Can Never Be Sad When Wife, Gauri Pradhan Is Around, Shares An Adorable Post)
In a recent interview, Arjun Kapoor had made similar statements and said that he is not the first or last actor about whom gossip reports are running wildly in the media. He had shared, “When there is something to talk about, you will all know. It’s your choice how much you put out there or yourself and your availability. Today you have a lot of control over as to how much you want people to know about your life. Speculation and gossip is a part of it. I am not the first actor or the last. Our entire tribe is immune to it…Because it is the nature of the business.”
Before their reported April 19 wedding, rumour mills were abuzz that Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor have bought a luxurious flat in Lokhandwala. It was claimed in a media report, “Arjun and Malaika have together purchased a flat in a plush society near Lokhandwala Complex. It is their joint investment together. Whether they plan to live in or no is entirely up to them. But they are surely getting a space for themselves. Currently, the interiors of the house are being done and both Malaika and Arjun are looking into the details.”
Coming back to Malaika and Arjun’s hoax April 19 wedding, people had genuinely believed that they were getting married. In fact, from their wedding itinerary to the guest-list, everything was reported in the media. One report had claimed that Arjun and Malaika had asked their staff to be free for their wedding by reporting, “Arjun and Malaika have told their teams to keep themselves free for the wedding. They want it to be an extremely private affair with only close friends and family, so the hair and make-up artists and other members have been strictly asked not to share any information with anybody.” Another report had shared the guest-list and had stated, “Our well-placed source spills the beans that Malla will walk down the aisle on April 19. The invitees' list will, of course, have to-be-bride and groom’s close friend circle like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor and their Bandra girl gang, with whom the couple usually hangs out. We also hear that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are also on the guest list.” (Suggested Read: Esha Deol, BFF Shilarna Vaze And Their 'Rainbows' Radhya-Zanu Give Summer Vibes In Throwback Picture)
