Arijit Singh CLARIFIES He Won't Stop Making Music After Quitting From Playback Singing

Arijit Singh, on January 27, 2026, announced that he won't be taking any new assignments as a playback vocalist. While the note has been going viral, which was shared on his official Instagram handle, he shared another note on his private X account as per a report by Times Now. He expressed that God has been really kind to him.

Arijit, in his note, further shared that he is a fan of good music, and he is trying to learn more and do more as a small artist. He thanked his fans for their support and will finish up his pending commitments, so they will still get his new releases. Arijit further clarified that he won't stop making music. He wrote:

"God has been really kind to me. I am fan of good music and in future will be learning more and do more on my own as a small little artist. Thanks again for all your support. I still have to finish some pending commitments , will finish them. So you might get some releases this year. Just to be clear that I won't stop making music."

Talking about the heartbreaking note, Arijit took to his official Instagram handle and shared a picture note. He started the note by wishing his fans a happy New Year. He thanked them for listening to him all these years. Arijit further expressed his happiness, announcing that he will not take any new assignments as a playback vocalist from now on. He stated that he is ending his journey and called it a wonderful journey. He wrote:

"Hello, Happy New Year to all. I want to thank you all for giving me so much of love all these years as listeners. I am happy to announce that I am not gonna be taking any new assignments as a playback vocalist from now on. I am calling it off. It was a wonderful journey."

As soon as the note surfaced, netizens flooded the comments section. Arijit Singh, without any reason, left the singing world as a playback singer. One user wrote, "Hindi music won’t be the same without Arijit." Another user penned, "Sir Ji April door hein abhi kehdo ye jhooth hein." Another one wrote, "Kehdo account hacked hai."
