Apurva Agnihotri and Shilpa Agnihotri have been among the most-loved couples in the television world. The duo met each other while working together and got married in 2004. However, nearly after 18 years of marital bliss, the duo welcomed their daughter, Ishaani Kanu Agnihotri, in 2022. While the couple enjoys every minute of their parental happiness, they now opened up, recalling the painful journey and a wait of 18 years to welcome their child into the world.
Apart from being brilliant actors, Apurva and Shilpa have now endeavoured to vlog precious moments of their lives on their YouTube channel. And it is during their recent video that the couple opened up on their wait of so many years before they were blessed with their daughter, Ishaani. Recalling how it was their faith in God for his divine timing to be their only guiding light in times of distress, they mentioned:
“We had waited for 18 years for this miracle to happen. There have been numerous ups and downs and failures in all these years. We had completely surrendered to God.”

Going further in their Vlog, the couple-turned-parents opened up on how they started to feel grateful for everything they had so that they could stop feeling incomplete about not having a child in their lives. Trusting it to be a sort of healing method, they mentioned:
“Apart from surrendering ourselves to God, we had stopped complaining about what others have in their life. We started telling ourselves that out of 10 things, God has given us 6 things, can we not be thankful for that? We started focusing on what we have rather than what we don’t have. We figured a way to thank God for the things we have.”
Despite failing in all their attempts to conceive a child, the couple never lost hope and firmly believed that the good thing would come in its due time. Labelling it as a dark space of vacuum, the couple recalled:
“It takes you to a dark space because you feel a vacuum. We just prayed to Him to bless us when our time is right. We thought maybe it was our waiting period to experience pain.”

Sadly, negativity affects a person the most when facing a distressful phase. Something similar happened to Apurva and Shilpa as well. Recalling the same, they mentioned how people around them frequently questioned them for being unsuccessful in their attempts to become parents. Recalling how it made them feel all the more despair, they said:
“In between, when Apurva and I were trying, we stopped sharing it with people. Everybody’s intent in their heart is your well-being. But when things don’t happen the way it is supposed to happen, those same people will keep asking you about why it was unsuccessful. When you say that it is, ‘negative’, you feel more at despair.”
Concluding their Vlog, the doting parents, Apurva and Shilpa Agnihotri, showered love on their cutesy daughter, Ishaani and revealed that she had been a miracle in their lives. Highlighting how they had given up all hopes and surrendered entirely to the act of God, they mentioned that they did not have anything to contribute to bringing Ishaani into their lives. In their words:
“Ishu is God’s miracle and we have no contribution. We left everything to God. Prayers change everything. You will only be judged for your karma and nothing else matters.”
