However, recently, an old clip of Anushka Sharma sharing why she could never date Ranveer made rounds on social media, and netizens reacted to the same.
Recently, an old video of Anushka Sharma talking about Ranveer Singh made rounds on the discussion platform, Reddit. In the interview with NDTV, the host asked Anushka Sharma about her and Ranveer's friendship. The host said that Ranveer, in an interview, had said that both of them are good friends. But he could never handle the actress in the capacity of being a boyfriend, as Anushka would have taken the life of her boyfriend. When the host asked Anushka why Ranveer would say that, the actress said:
"That's because Ranveer can't be a boyfriend."

When the host asked about the reason, Anushka heaped praise on Ranveer Singh and mentioned that he is a very good actor and a fine guy as well as hard working. Speaking about the reason why she can't date Ranveer, Anushka said that the former is quite caught up in the moment with himself. Anushka can be quoted as saying:
“He is a very fine guy, very hardworking. But he is quite caught up in the moment with himself, which he should be. It’s his first film, he’s coming into the industry, he has to and I understand that. Which is why I said that I can’t date him.”
Going further in the interview, Anushka Sharma said that many people questioned her about not dating Ranveer Singh. Sharing why she can't do the same, Anushka said that she would want a boyfriend who, at the end of the day, comes and questions her about her day rather than just talking about himself. Anushka mentioned:
"Actually you know, people ask me this question that why don’t we see each other and I tell them this is the reason because I would want a boyfriend who at the end of the day not just come up to me and tell me what just happened in his day but probably ask me ‘so how did your day go’, which you will never do, so I will never date you."
Further, in the interview, Anushka Sharma revealed that she is not at all interested in dating actors. When she was asked the reason behind the same, Anushka said that actors are self-obsessed. And as she is an actress and self-obsessed, she can't be with another self-obsessed person.
