Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli finally announced the arrival of their second child. For the past few months, murmurs were rife that Anushka was pregnant. However, the couple never really talked about the same due to their past experience and then-on-going World Cup match. Amidst the rumours, many thought that Anushka was going through health problems, but the actress' baby arrival announcement left everyone super happy.
Finally, after a lot of waiting and speculation, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli announced the arrival of their second child. On February 20, 2024, Anushka took to her Instagram handle, and shared her baby boy's arrival announcement. In the picture note, Anushka revealed that her daughter was blessed with a baby brother on February 15, 2024. The second-time mommy also revealed her son's unique name, Akaay. Her note can be read as:
"With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love. We are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy, Akaay, and Vamika's little brother into this world. We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time."

On November 9, 2023, a social media user shared a clear video of Anushka Sharma with her husband, Virat Kohli, on Reddit. In the clip, Virat held Anushka's hand as the actress watched her steps carefully while entering the hotel premises. Anushka was decked up in an oversized schiffli black-hued dress. She styled her dress with black strappy flats to be comfortable. Subtle makeup and open hair completed her look.
As soon as the video was uploaded, netizens flooded the comments section. While one user had written, "Is she expecting? Genuinely asking", another commented, "100 percent." One netizen praised how Virat and Anushka didn't make any official pregnancy announcement. Another fan commented, "Ooooh.. Anushka has the pregnant walk already. It looks so cute on her. I'm so short that I used to look like a penguin with my pregnant walk."

On October 14, 2023, Anushka was seen rooting for her hubby, Virat, in the stadium. In an unseen video from the after-match, we could see Anushka's baby bump, which she tried to hide in an oversized white dress. Anushka was decked up for the match in a white-hued oversized shirt dress. In one of the unseen post-match videos, we can see Virat holding Anushka's hand and taking extra care of her. In one moment in the clip, during a conversation with another cricketer's wife, Anushka's baby bump was visible as she cradled it.

During an event, Anushka was asked whether she had any pregnancy cravings. The actress, who was pregnant in 2020, revealed that initially, she thought pregnancy craving was a lie, as she didn't crave anything as such. However, there came a point during her pregnancy when she had a crazy pregnancy craving to eat vada pav. Anushka was quoted as saying:
"You know I thought that this was a big lie. I thought why they would go on about pregnancy cravings as I didn't had any. But there came one stage when I was obsessed with vada pav. Like I wanted to dabao vada pav as much as I could. So I had a lot of vada pav. Luckily living in Bombay is not very hard."
Well, we are super happy to know Anushka and her baby are happy and healthy!
