It was in the year 2018 when Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu had entered the reality show, Bigg Boss 12 as a couple, shocking the entire nation. It was claimed that the two have been in a relationship for more than three years, making the meme world go crazy and people had started with their judgements back then. However, it was after the show that the two had claimed all this to be a misunderstanding and the only relationship they had was a platonic, teacher-student relationship. This whole fiasco had garnered a lot of flake from the fans, however, later, Anup ji ended up saying that he would be doing Jasleen’s Kanyadaan. It seems Anup ji took it too seriously as now, he has played Cupid for Jasleen Matharu and found a suitable match for her.
Jasleen Matharu was looking for her Mr Perfect from some time and now, in an interview with The Times of India, she has revealed that Anup ji has helped her find a man, and has introduced them virtually. She said, “Anup ji had told me about this doctor, who separated from his wife last year. But, the matter couldn’t progress owing to the lockdown. However, rather than delaying it further, he introduced us virtually. We talk a lot and get along well.”
Jasleen was also asked if the new man in her life has questioned her about her link-up rumours with Anup ji. She said, “He has not mentioned it even once. Anyway, we don’t talk about each other’s past. He is yet to get a divorce and so, we are taking one day at a time. I just want to say that it’s my life and I am happy that Anup ji is involved in it.”
In a conversation with the same publication, Anup ji told that he knows the surgeon and his family for some time now, and hopes that Jasleen and his relationship turns into a marriage. He said, “Theirs is a cultured family and I have known them for five-six years. Recently, Jasleen had posted a dance video on her Instagram handle in a semi-bridal look. However, she had looked beautiful, everyone had started linking Anup ji’s name with her. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Anup Jalota had talked about all the speculations going over the internet about their secret wedding. The popular singer had revealed that all the rumours are false and instead he’s searching for a suitable boy for his daughter-alike-student, Jasleen Matharu. He had said, “Not Again! My marriage to Jasleen is news to me. I and her father are looking for a suitable match for her.” Anup ji had also added that he has already suggested a Punjabi boy to the family. He had added, “I have suggested to them a Punjabi boy living in Canada. Nothing is fixed yet.” In the end, he sends a strong message to everyone and had said, “I stated to you after coming out from Big Boss that I will do her kanyadaan. And I will.
