As per reports, he has been ordered to pay more than USD 40K to his ex-wife over an unpaid divorce settlement. Not only that, he has been asked to pay USD 7,500 directly to her lawyer, which makes the total nearly USD 48K.
Anson Williams divorce reason revealed
As per TMZ documents, Anson has been asked to pay Jackie USD 40,181.04 plus USD 7,500 directly to her lawyer. And he has been given a deadline to pay it all by 5 p.m. on November 2, 2026. They money shows the expenses the judge found Anson failed to pay, including nearly USD 18K in life insurance premiums.
The judge also ordered Anson to transfer 160,214 American Express reward points to Jackie. It happened after Anson didn't show up for the October 1, 2026, hearing or file a response to Jackie's claims. As TMZ reported, Jackie dragged Anson to court In August 2026, after he failed to make payments as per the divorce agreement. The former couple divorced in 2020 after 30 years of being together.
In August 2026, Jackie alleged that her ex-husband has missed several payments and is now seeking the court's help to resolve the matter. In the court filing, she has said she wants the Happy Days actor to pay up, claiming he owes her tens of thousands for nonpayment from their divorce. Jackie Williams has alleged that her ex-husband, Anson Williams, owes her over USD 15,000 in 6 different life insurance premiums, over USD 2,000 in DGA pension funds, and over USD 1,300 in AFTRA pension funds.
However, that is not all. According to the filing, Anson Williams must also pay USD 16,000 for misappropriation or unauthorized use of corporate funds, and USD 4,000 for unauthorized self-payments to his ex-wife. Bringing the total to more than USD 38,000. Nonetheless, that is not the only payment Jackie Williams is seeking in the filing. She has also asked that Anson reactivate their corporate AmEx and transfer over her half of the rewards benefits.
According to Jackie Williams, their 2023 divorce agreement clearly covered these items. However, Anson has been dragging his feet on some of the obligations he agreed to back then. She claims she's tried multiple times this year to reach out to Anson about the money he owes her. Jackie has further alleged that despite her attempts to reach out to Anson Williams, she hasn't gotten anywhere and now wants a judge's help.
For the unversed, Anson Williams is best known for his role as 'Warren Ptosie Weber' on his famous sitcom, Happy Days. He called it quits with his wife of 30 years, Jackie Gerken.
Anson filed for divorce in California Superior Court on September 11, 2019. The ex-couple have been together for the past 30 years. Talking about the reason for their separation, the court documents cited that they are parting ways due to irreconcilable differences.
The actor also filed for joint legal and physical custody of his three children. For the unversed, Williams and Gerken married in 1988. However before marrying, her was married Lorrie Mahaffey from 1978 to 1986, and they share one child.
