Seems like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has proved to be a matchmaker for a lot of jodis in the show. Those actors who are paired opposite each other in the show have eventually started dating each other as well. Be it Lata Sabharwal Seth and Sanjeev Seth, who got married after portraying the role of husband and wife in the show or Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi, who recently confessed that they are dating each other.

Another couple who admited that they are dating each other are Anshul Pandey and Priyanka Udhwani aka Naman and Karishma. Though Anshul’s character Naman is no more a part of the show as he was sent to jail by the family, but the couple is seen hanging out together off-screen and posting pictures.
In an exclusive interview to Times of India, Anshul spoke about his relationship with Priyanka. He said:
"Yes, we have been dating for over two years now"
On being asked about how they managed to keep their relationship away from the media glare for so long and Anshul said:
"It wasn't intentional. Just that it happened to stay away from the paparazzi. It's funny how questions pertaining to my relationship are asked now, months after I have quit Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai."

Further talking about their relationship, the actor said:
"We fell in love on the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. I realised it within no time that I had fallen for Priyanka. There's never a dull moment with her. She keeps my life lively and happening, that is one thing that makes me fall in love with her all over again."
Almost a year ago, Anshul has quit the show whereas Priyanka decided to continue with her role. In that same interview, Anshul also talked about how they manage to spend quality time with each other owing to Priyanka's hectic schedule?
"Currently, it's all dependent on her. I manage my things according to it and we make sure to catch up everyday once she is done shooting. Plus we are gym partners as well. We work out together,"
