Ankita Lokhande was in a steady relationship with actor, Sushant Singh Rajput for six years but had parted ways with him in 2016. Soon, Ankita and Sushant had moved on in their lives and later, she had fallen madly-in-love with businessman, Vicky Jain. But the untimely death of Sushant on June 14, 2020, had devastated her and since then, she has been campaigning to bring justice for SSR. And in her battle, Vicky has been her rooting for her at every step.
Ankita is extremely close to Vicky Jain’s family and had become a proud aunt in the month of July when Vicky’s sister, Varsha Jain had given birth to twins, Abeer and Abeera. On September 11, 2020, Ankita took to her IG handle and shared adorable pictures of Vicky’s nephew and niece, Abeer and Abeera on their 2-month birthday. Ankita looked beautiful in a white high neck top and grey pants as she held the little munchkins in her arms. Along with the pictures, Ankita wrote, “Dear Abeer and Abeera, happy 2months my cutipies.”
On September 9, 2020, Ankita had celebrated Vicky Jain's sister, Varsha's twins' second-month birthday. The actress had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted glimpses of the celebration. In the pictures, we could see Ankita enjoying the company of Abeer and Abeera as she had posed with her future sister-in-law, Varsha Jain. On August 10, 2020, Ankita Lokhande had taken to her IG handle and had shared a happy picture with the two new additions in her family. In the picture, Ankita was seen giving a beautiful smile as she posed with the twin babies. Although Ankita didn’t had mention much about the kids but tagged her beau, Vicky Jain in the post. Along with the picture, Anikta had written, “Our family rejoices - a new life’s begun, Our circle is richer with the birth of these TWINS. WELCOME Abeer and Abeera.”
Sushant’s death has left Ankita shattered and devastated, yet she is honest towards her relationship with beau, Vicky. Sushant’s death has brought Ankita and his relationship back in the spotlight and Vicky Jain had started receiving hate comments from trolls and angry fans of late SSR. According to some reports, Vicky Jain had received hurtful comments on his social media handles, with trolls asking him to “leave Ankita”. However, there were some, who had stood by Vicky and had appreciated him for supporting Ankita.
On September 9, 2020, Ankita had shared an open letter on Sushant’s death. However, Rhea Chakraborty's friend and actor, Farhan Akhtar's girlfriend, Shibani Dandekar had slammed Ankita for not being able to handle her relationship with Sushant and for seeking '2-seconds of fame' by targeting Rhea. Well, Shibani’s statement didn’t go down too well with Ankita’s boyfriend, Vicky Jain, who had given a befitting reply to her haters. On September 11, 2020, Vicky had taken to his IG stories and without taking any names, had shared a quote which could be read as “There’s a difference between being liked and being valued. A lot of people like you. Not many value you. Be valued.” Ankita had reposted the same on her IG stories with an applause emoticon.
