Ankita Lokhande and late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput were featured in the popular television show, Pavitra Rishta which was produced under Balaji Telefilms. The show had aired in the year 2009 and had become an instant hit at that time. Ankita Lokhande had played the role of 'Archana', whereas late Sushant Singh Rajput had appeared as 'Manav'. Their on-screen chemistry was a huge hit, and later the duo had also started dating.
Pavitra Rishta is all set to return with its second season, in which Ankita Lokhande will be sharing the screen with actor, Shaheer Sheikh. Ankita will appear in the same role as 'Archana', and Shaheer Sheikh will be playing the role 'Manav'.

Recently, Ankita Lokhande recalled her first meeting with the late actor, and her ex-boyfriend Sushant Singh, and revealed that Sushant’s behaviour was very similar to Shaheer’s. She called their first interaction really weird and shared an incident that had made Sushant 'very angry'. Talking to The Quint, Ankita recalled her first meeting with Sushant Singh Rajput. She said, "It was very weird. Sushant was very silent like Shaheer (Sheikh) only I think he was doing his own work. Very much like Shaheer. He used to be on his own...We had to go for a promo shoot and Sushant had come to pick me up from my home and was downstairs. My mother was also there. I remember I got late. My hair and makeup were being done from 4 am and Sushant had reached my place around 5 am."

Ankita Lokhande also shared that Sushant was very upset with her and had angrily started rash driving. Recalling the same, Ankita said, "I came down at 6 am and he was very angry. After I came downstairs I got into the backseat of the car with my mother and fell asleep. He was so angry that firstly I came late and then went to sleep in the backseat. He took the car from the driver and did rash driving. I didn't understand why he was doing like that. My mother then said 'He is getting angry'. I was like 'What can I do? He should have come upstairs'. That was my first meeting with Sushant that way. He was like 'Oh she went and fell asleep in the backseat. She has the heroine attitude'."
Sushant Singh Rajput's sudden demise has shocked everyone. While everyone was in grief, his ex-girlfriend, Ankita Lokhande, had also shared her feelings about losing him. Ever since his death Ankita Lokhande has been open about her feelings towards Sushant and has said multiple times that she misses him a lot.
