Ankita Lokhande has been making headlines since she entered the seventeenth season of Bigg Boss with her husband, Vicky Jain. While they entered as a jodi, Vicky had his own strategy to move forward in the game, which irked Ankita. Now, Ankita Lokhande first time opened up about the real reason for her breakup with Sushant Singh Rajput.
In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 17, Ankita Lokhande addressed her painful breakup with Sushant Singh Rajput. She revealed it wasn't just her but her parents, who were shattered. In the episode, Ankita Lokhande was seen in a discussion with Munawar Faruqui, she revealed that she had been in a relationship with Sushant for several years. However, Sushant called it quits within a night. She said:
"Uska jaana ek alag cheez thi. Main tut gyi, mere maa baap tut gye.."

Munawar further probed how Ankita was trolled after Sushant's death in 2020. Ankita revealed that she jumped into the matter as she wanted to let people know who the real Sushant was. Ankita further shared the real reason for the breakup and stated that it happened in a night, without informing her. She added that there was no reason. Addressing the same, Ankita stated:
"Main kahi involved nahi thi, fir bhi main khadi hui because main chahti ki log jaane vo kaun tha. Log tab kaha the, jab mera breakup chal raha tha. Main vo phase akele gujazara... There was no reason for breakup. I was blank.. Ek raat mein cheeze change hui meri life mein."
When Munawar further asked whether they had a fight or a clash, Ankita denied that there was nothing as such, it was all of a sudden. She also added that it was Sushant's success that was the major reason and people must have said something about her. Ankita was quoted as saying:
"Kya hota hai jab aap uper chadd rahe hote ho apne career mein.. Apko dus log or kaan bhadte hai.. Jo bhi ho raha hoga mujhe nahi pata... But theek hai uska apna ek matter tha.. Mai ne kabhi ruka bhi nahi usko.."

Sushant and Ankita fell in love while working together on their show, Pavitra Rishta. They had dated for many years, and in 2016, Sushant announced his plans of getting married to Ankita on a dance reality show.
