Ankita Lokhande has been dominating all the headlines since she entered the Bigg Boss 17 house with her husband, Vicky Jain. While being on the show, where she allegedly is one of the highest-paid celebs, Ankita sheds light on her past relationship frequently. For the unversed, before tying the knot with Vicky, Ankita had been in a long-term relationship with her Pavitra Rishta co-star and the late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput. The ex-couple was one of the much-loved pairs on-screen and off-screen. After seven years of their relationship, when everyone was expecting Ankita and Sushant would announce their wedding, the duo instead declared the news of parting ways, and it left everyone heartbroken.
There's no denying the fact that ending a relationship that lasted for almost a decade isn't an easy kind of job as it takes a toll on the well-being of the individual, and Ankita was no exception. However, Ankita in Bigg Boss 17 house shared why and how she and Sushant broke up, and yet again, she shared an unheard anecdote.

In the recent episode of BB 17, the contestants were given a task where they had to call out their house inmates, whom they thought to be 'fake'. To this, Munawar Faruqui took Ankita Lokhande's name. To justify his point, Munawar mentioned that Ankita is extremely good, which he thinks to be too much to be true. Soon after that, Munawar Faruqui and Ankita Lokhande had a conversation, wherein Ankita revealed how she took the blame on herself for 'one of the major breakups' in her life.
While conversing with Ankita, Munawar said that the former often over-invests herself and puts a lot of effort into her relationships. To this, Ankita agreed and stated that what matters to her is closeness, and she believes in giving second chances to relationships that matter to her the most, as she thinks it can often generate a more meaningful closeness with the person over time.
Talking about the same, Ankita brought out her past relationship with Sushant Sing Rajput. The actress shared that in her life, she faced that one breakup, wherein, even after it was over, she was stuck for two and a half years. Ankita also stated that she never thought him to be wrong, and instead, she took the blame on herself. Ankita said:
"Mere life mey mere ek bahot bada break-up hua. Sab Khatam hogaya. Uske jaane ke baad bhi na Munna, dhaai saal tak mai ek cheez pe attki rahi. Usne mere saath jo b kiya ho, mere andar woh feeling thi ki he was not wrong. Maine saari cheeze apne upar li ke mere behavior mey koi galti hogi."
In the same conversation, Ankita Lokhande shared that she never talked badly about Sushant. Speaking along the same lines, Ankita mentioned that she probably has a habit of taking the blame on herself for the things that strongly impact her. Ankita can be quoted as saying:
"Maine uske liye kabhi buri cheezein nahi boli. Mai hu shayad aisi ke jo cheez meko strongly laggti hai na, phir mai uska apne upar blame le leti hu, ya mai pighal jaati hu."

Sushant and Ankita were in a relationship for many years. During their dating era, the duo often was questioned about their plans to get married. As per several reports, Sushant even confirmed the news of marrying Ankita back in 2016 while being on a dance reality show. However, destiny had some other plans, and soon after a few months, Sushant announced his separation from the actress on X (Twitter). After the painful breakup, Ankita went into depression, and after a lot of hard work, she overcame the challenges and finally moved on in her life.
