Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives was released on Netflix on November 27, 2020, and has been in the news ever since. The show gives a sneak-peek into the lives of the wives of Bollywood actors, namely, Bhavana Pandey (wife of Chunky Pandey), Maheep Kapoor (wife of Sanjay Kapoor), Neelam Kothari (90s actress and wife of Samir Soni) and Seema Khan (wife of Sohail Khan), who also happen to be BFFs since more than two decades. The show gives us gossip about the lives of the star wives, their work, businesses, friendship, children, and a lot of such stuff. Now, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor's older brother, has opened up on how he called his sister-in-law, Maheep Kapoor (Sanjay Kapoor's wife) after watching her daughter, Shanaya Kapoor on the show. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Anil Kapoor talked about how he liked the show and said, "Maine iska pehla episode dekha (I watched the first episode) and I liked it. Matter of fact, I spoke to Maheep also, she was very, very good in the show. Everybody was good but obviously, my loyalties are with Maheep. So immediately I called her up and told her. Sanjay se bhi meri baat hui (I spoke to Sanjay, too) so I was happy to see her. I was happy to see Shanaya also, she looked beautiful in it .”
In the show, we had witnessed Maheep and Sanjay discuss the pressures that he had faced because of being perceived as the least successful of his siblings. In the show, after signing an ambitious project with Karan Johar, Sanjay Kapoor had talked about how it had taken so long for him to reach here. He had said, "It took me twenty-five years for finally this nepotism to work. I have known Karan for nearly 30 years. But finally, I am happy it’s work which has got me work, not nepotism. People need to understand that, otherwise I would have been the busiest actor. With the number of people I know, I would have been doing the best of work." In the show, Maheep Kapoor was also seen taking tips from her nephew and Bollywood actor, Arjun Kapoor for her daughter, Shanaya's Bollywood debut and how to deal with trolls. Earlier, according to the reports of Mid Day, in conversation with a channel, Sanjay Kapoor had opened up about his daughter, Shanaya Kapoor's acting debut in Bollywood. He was quoted as saying, '"It has been delayed by the ongoing pandemic, but we're hopeful that it will happen very soon." Well, it seems we might see Shanaya Kapoor on the silver screens next year! FYI, Shanaya Kapoor has already made her way to the film sets along with her cousin, Janhvi Kapoor with her last release, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. Shanaya was the assistant director of the film.
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl had released on Netflix on August 12, 2020. To mark the beginning of their daughter, Shanaya Kapoor's journey in Bollywood, Maheep Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor had posted heartfelt notes for Shanaya Kapoor on their respective IG handles. Maheep had shared some pictures from the sets of the film and had written, "Learning the ropes #SweetestTeamEver #AssistantDirector #KargilGirl." The proud father, Sanjay had written, "I am so glad that Shanaya started her journey in this beautiful world of movies as an assistant director with you @sharansharma, You are an Extremely talented director and A super human being too, loved #gunjansaxena, looking forward to your next!"
