Recently, a source close to Brad Pitt told PEOPLE that there were many unresolved issues between Brad and Angelina that had been building up for years. While the ex-couple looked like a happy and glamorous family from the outside, their relationship had serious problems privately. A source close to Angelina Jolie told PEOPLE that people still don't fully know what happened in the duo’s relationship that led Angelina to file for divorce, or what happened between them afterward.
For a decade, Angelina has mostly stayed quiet about what really happened between them. According to the insider, Angelina chose not to speak negatively about Brad because he is the father of her children. For the uninitiated, Angelina and Brad share six children, three adopted and three biological. The source added that Angelina has tried to maintain her dignity and remain silent despite the criticism and misinformation.
The insider close to the Maleficent actress shared that the last ten years were very difficult and painful for Angelina. She has been focusing on her health. The source added that they think that Angelina is hoping that the next chapter will be easier. The source was quoted as saying:
"The last ten years were very difficult and a painful decade for her. She’s been through a lot and is focused on her health and recovery. I’m sure she’s hoping this next chapter will be easier."
In a recent interview with Variety, Angelina admitted that she had lost her fighting spirit for a bit. However, she has finally got her fighting spirit back. She thanked her children and shared that they encouraged her a lot. Brad Pitt has also had professional success since the split. Over the past four years, Brad has also found love with jewelry designer girlfriend, Ines de Ramon. The insider close to Brad told PEOPLE that Brad and Ines are really good for each other. The source added that Brad’s personal life with Ines gave him great comfort. The insider was quoted as saying:
"They are really good for each other. His personal life with Ines is something that’s provided him great comfort."
The Jolie source told People that Angelina is entering an 'empty-nest' phase, which means her children are growing up and becoming more independent, so she would have more free time. The insider stated that Angelina now has more freedom to travel and spend time in different places instead of being tied to one location. According to the source, Angelina is excited about this newfound freedom and wants to discover what she wants to do with the next stage of her life.
The Kung Fu Panda actress has spent many years in Los Angeles raising her kids. She also put much of her career and work on hold while her children were younger. Now that her children are grown up, she has more time to concentrate on her career again. The insider added that Angelina is doing well now and feels very inspired creatively.
