However, while everyone saw AJ defeat Jake on what was being dubbed 'Judgement Day', it was another unplanned fight backstage, which left everyone in shock. Long after the final bell rang and Jake Paul, who suffered from a broken jaw, was taken for treatment, everyone dispersed backstage, including former UFC heavyweight champion, Andrei Arlovski. But while leaving, he got involved in a violent clash with social media star, Jack Doherty and his entourage, drawing attention. Here is what triggered the clash. 

What caused the backstage brawl between Andrei Arlovski and Jack Doherty? 

After Anthony Joshua defeated Jake Paul, the attention shifted to the flaring tension in the corridors of the venue. According to multiple eyewitnesses and viral videos circulating on the internet, Andrei Arlovski, also known as "The Pitbull," crossed paths with influencer, Jack Doherty and his large entourage in an open area backstage. Sources reported that someone from Jack Doherty's group gave a casual bump to the 46-year-old MMA veteran and exchanged some words before throwing a punch. 

In turn, it prompted Andrei to defend himself. The altercation soon turned into a violent brawl where Andrei responded with force and tossed one member of the group. Immediately, other members from the group entered the scene. Although it is not confirmed who initiated the clash, as different sources differ in the sequence of events, many maintain that it was Jack's crew who provoked Andrei. Consequently, with his fighter's instincts, Andrei reacted by thrashing multiple attackers before the security or others could intervene and stop it. 

What happened after Andrei Arlovski vs Jack Doherty and team clash at Jake Paul Vs Anthony Joshua 

A video of the backstage brawl, recorded by bystanders, went viral across social media platforms, showing an intense post-fight environment. Jack Doherty, 22, a controversial YouTuber with millions of followers, took a backseat once the physical aspect was addressed. Some clips allegedly showed him kicking Jack's back, but the visuals are unclear to confirm it. Still, he tried to urge his friends "to chill" amid the chaos. 

However, despite the aggressive nature of the clash, no serious injuries were reported. At the same time, law enforcement authorities did not intervene to make any arrests in the case. Instead, security personnel at the event had to intervene to remove Andrei from the same place before the conflict could escalate. Social media users gave mixed reactions to the incident, with some viewing it as a means for professional fights and influencers seeking attention. At the same time, others criticised influencers for engaging in conflicts with professionals.

Andrei Arlovski is a well-known Belarusian-American former UFC heavyweight champion. He had one of the longest competitive careers in mixed martial arts (MMA), becoming one of the most popular figures in the sport. Even after his exit from UFC in 2024, he has been active in combat sports. Andrei turned towards bare-knuckle boxing and other fight promotions, as well as making occasional acting appearances.
