A few months back, the rumours started doing the rounds that most loved celebrity of tinsel town, Amruta Khanvilkar and Himanshu Malhotra have troubles in their marriage. Marathi actress, Amruta had unfollowed husband, Himanshu on her social media handle, leaving their fans shocked. The actress in an interview with the Bombay times revealed the reason behind unfollowing husband, Himanshu.
In an interview with the Bombay Times, Amruta shared the reason why she had blocked husband, Himanshu on social media and also his number. The actress revealed, "I realised how childish I was when I unblocked his number the next morning. Himanshu said that he kept calling me the entire night, but could not get through. It was a spur-of-the-moment act and I didn’t realise that it would lead to speculations about trouble in our marriage."
Amruta shared that she had to block Himanshu’s number because she wanted to have a long conversation with him, but he kept reminding her that he had to sleep early for a 5 am shoot. She said, "As a person, I am not very expressive and so, I could not tell him that I missed him. Eventually, we ended up fighting and he hung up on me. Amruta and Himanshu have been living their happily-ever-after for five years now. The couple had won the dance reality show, Nach Baliye 7 together. Recently the actress was a part of another reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi10. In an interview with the Times of India, The actress was asked if she will accept the offer of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss if it comes her way, the actress had said, "I don't know actually. See I love watching Bigg Boss as a viewer, but I don't know if it matches my temperament. I am a very different person when it comes to all my characters that I have played so far. My fans and well-wishers know me as my screen characters. But to live in the house as Amruta Khanvilkar will be quite challenging. Also, Himanshu hates this show, he doesn't like it at all. I personally want him to do the show because I feel he is just apt for the show. He is very composed, calm, but when he loses his cool which is like once in a blue moon, then nobody can save you from his anger. He doesn't like the show and even when I have to watch it at home, I do it secretly from him when he is not around."
On March 3, 2020, Amruta had celebrated husband, Himanshu's birthday amidst the Coronavirus lockdown. Amruta had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a video, where she could be seen singing the birthday song for Himanshu while he cuts the cake.
