Once again, Amrita and Anmol uploaded a video on YouTube on Denim Day but received heavy backlash for the first time, even from their die-hard fans.
For the unversed, after dating for years, Amrita Rao and Anmol had tied the knot in 2014. And on November 1, 2020, the much-in-love couple had embraced parenthood after the actress had given birth to a baby boy, whom the couple have lovingly named, Veer.

On April 27, 2022, Amrita Rao and her husband, RJ Anmol took to their YouTube channel, Couple of Things- Amrita Rao I RJ Anmol and dropped a video in which they interviewed a lot of people and asked them to share their thoughts about women being judged based on their clothes. In the video, Amrita and Anmol asked general people the same in different locations, and most of the women in the video called it a 'daily routine. Almost at the end of the eighth minute in the video, we can see popular model, Urfi Javed making her way into the clip and addressing the issue. Urfi revealed so many heart-breaking incidents that had happened with her in the past. The model is trolled for her outfits every now and then, and referring to the same, she said:
"I received rape threats and death threats on a daily basis. Even on my work E-Mail, even on my comments, even in my DMs. Rape threats are like every day. I was slut shamed when I was 15 years old. After, I wore a tube top and uploaded a picture of it on Facebook. Someone uploaded it on a pornographic site, and the entire town and my family slut-shamed me."
While many people praised Amrita Rao and her husband, RJ Anmol, for bringing such a thought-provoking video surfacing the ground reality of this issue on the special occasion of Denim Day, which is celebrated on the last day of sexual awareness month, April. However, a big section of netizens trolled Amrita and Anmol for praising Urfi and supporting her fashion quotient. While a user wrote, "Unfollowing you for this you guys doing shit and supporting shit I was thinking you are good human you understand what's right what's wrong ashamed that I followed you on instagram boycottthisshit." Another user shared her disappointment and commented:
"Fashion k name par kuch ve pehnegi kya .. unfollowing u very very disappointed."

Amrita Rao is one of the most loved and respected actresses in the film industry because of her humble nature. However, this is the first time that people are extremely disappointed with the Vivah fame actress and not only this. Many people told her that they were unfollowing her because she had broken their trust by coming out in support of Urfi Javed's fashion choices. One such user penned a comment on Amrita's Instagram post and told her that she was extremely disappointed with her favourite actress. The user's comment can be read as:
