After this, he started working in a US-based multinational corporation. However, despite having a decent job at a multinational company, Amogh started falling out of his corporate life.

Since his birth, Amogh Lila Das was so much in spirituality. From going to temples and reading religious scriptures, he was fascinated by the philosophies mentioned in the sacred texts. However, it was Bhagavad Gita that changed his life and made him realise his true worth. After reading Bhagavad Gita, Amogh decided to leave his job and get deep into the history of Hindu texts and scriptures.

Amogh Lila Das left his corporate job in 2010 as he was unhappy about his life and what he was doing professionally. He quit his job and joined ISKCON at the age of 29. While joining ISKCON, he celibate and entered into a completely different lifestyle, which was ultimately the thing that he was craving during his corporate job. Amogh went to ISKCON’s Dwarka centre and started his life as a monk, changing his name to Amogh from Ashish Arora.
In July 2023, Amogh Lila Das got into trouble after he shared his views on Vivekananda and Ramakrishna Paramhansa. The monk criticised Vivekananda for eating fish, and it hurt the sentiments of people across the nation. Not only this, Amogh also criticised Vivekananda for his teachings about Ramakrishna Paramhansa. As soon as the controversy reached the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), the committee immediately banned Amogh for one month.
