Amitabh Bachchan is popular for hosting grand Holi parties in Bollywood, which are attended by the biggest names from the film industry. However, over the years, the celebrations have become intimate, with only family members in attendance. Just like every year, Big B marked the special festival of Holi with his family at Prateeksha, and the festivities began with Holika Dahan.
On March 24, 2024, Amitabh Bachchan shared a blog and reminisced about past Holi celebrations at his home, Prateeksha. The legendary actor posted some old photos with his family from the vibrant Holi celebrations of yore. The monochrome pictures featured Big B, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan. In the blog post, the actor compared the Holi celebrations in the past days to the present times and wrote:
“Then .. and now. Greetings and wishes for Holi .. the happiness and the joy of everlasting colours of fulfilment and gaiety and merriment ..have lost count of the number of Holi celebrations at Prateeksha ..God has been kind…"

Alongside the throwback images, Amitabh Bachchan also shared several photos of himself from Sunday's darshan. The actor was dressed in a pink and white kurta-pyjama set as he waved at fans and signed autographs and posters. Expressing his gratitude for the fans who gather outside Jalsa every Sunday, Big B penned:
"And the kindness of the Ef and the well-wishers, galore ..My gratitude to all the Ef at the GOJ for their wishes and their colours and their cards and letters .. and most importantly their love .. may each coloured celebration be eternal in your lives and filled with happiness and just .. happiness.”
Meanwhile, on March 24, 2024, the Bachchan family marked Holika Dahan at their Mumbai residence, Prateeksha. Navya Naveli Nanda took to her Instagram handle and dropped glimpses of the joyful occasion. In one of the pictures, Abhishek Bachchan can be seen dressed in a white-hued, kurta-pyjama and a beige Nehru jacket, and Navya applied tilak on his forehead. We also spotted Jaya Bachchan dressed in a red-hued suit with a scarf. Aishwarya also marked her presence at the festivities in a white-hued suit and flaunted sindoor and teeka on her forehead.

For those who don't know, rumours about problems between Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan sparked after the actor posted a dry birthday wish for his wife. Post that, the much-in-love couple was spotted together on several occasions, but netizens claimed there had been something 'off' between the duo, thereby further igniting the gossip about the fiasco in the Bachchan clan. Later, a report surfaced online, which revealed that Aishwarya has moved out of the Bachchan residence, Jalsa, and is living separately with Aaradhya.
