Niharika Konidela and Chaitanya Jonnalagadda were one of the most-adored couples in Tollywood, whom people used to look upto as an inspiration. After years of knowing one another, they got hitched on December 9, 2020, in a grand ceremony at The Oberoi Udaivilas, Udaipur. However, the duo left everyone shocked when in July 2023, they announced their divorce through a joint statement. For the unversed, Niharika belongs to the Mega Family of Tollywood. She is the daughter of actor, Nagendra Babu and is the niece of South superstar, Pawan Kalyan.
Recently, Niharika Konidela bared her heart out for the first time about her divorce. In an interaction on Nikhil Vijayendra Simha’s podcast, the diva, in a very dignified manner, talked about her personal life, wherein she stated how she wants to be independent and no longer wants to stay dependent on the wrong person. However, her ex-husband, Chaitanya JV didn’t hesitate and penned his side of the story. Taking to the comments, he asked the podcast host, Nikhil to not represent a one-way version of such a touching topic like divorce. An excerpt from his longish comment can be read as:
“But you should stop trying to use the reach and platform to indirectly try and attach tags of victim and cause with respect to the marriage. This is the second time this is happening. The pain of things not working out and the process and ordeal of healing is the same for both the ends. In the future instead of an indirect implication of history and fit in words like trust, what will be advised is to have all the parties involved and run through the timeline if you are that keen on knowing and making public aware.”

Speaking about Niharika Konidela’s revelations on the podcast, she not only spoke about her heartbreak following the major change in her personal life. In fact, she also claimed that her idea of marriage as something which is cherished for a lifetime isn’t over yet. Elaborating more, she remarked that she hasn’t really closed off her heart for finding love again. In her words:
“Everyone gets married hoping it’s for a lifetime, but things weren’t what I expected. I am only 30, I haven’t closed off my heart to love. But first, I want to be independent and work on myself before committing to a relationship. For now, I’m single.”
Back on July 5, 2023, Niharika Konidela left her fans shocked with her sudden announcement of divorce from her hubby, Chaitanya JV, merely after three years of marriage. Taking to her IG handle, she dropped a picture note, where she stated having parted ways from her husband in a mutual and amicable manner. She requested everyone to grant her kindness and privacy during such a sensitive moment in her life.

While the couple may have moved their different ways, Niharika Konidela and Chaitanya JV had crossed paths back in 2015. After getting to know one another better, they tied the knot in 2020 at a destination wedding in Udaipur, surrounded by their close friends and family members. Since Niharika is a part of Tollywood’s Mega Family, her special day was graced by several A-listers, including her cousins, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, and others.
