Amanda Seyfried recently sat down for a conversation with PEOPLE and addressed her reunion with her former partner, Dominic Cooper. Although the pair had gone their separate ways, the actress confirmed that there was no bitterness between them. She explained that relationships formed at a young age can change over time and become something more familiar and comforting. In her words:
"Our lives are very different. We live in very different places, and I just have nothing but good feelings about him. When you're with somebody for a long time when you're younger, it just kind of evolves into this familial, nice, soft kind of bond."

Amanda also spoke fondly about Dominic's personality and complimented his humor. She said that friendships continue to evolve as people grow older. In fact, she feels fortunate to have shared such a meaningful connection with him. Amanda believes that the reunion was a reminder that a relationship does not have to last forever romantically to remain special.

They were married for nine years and welcomed two children. The actress has also built a life away from the Hollywood spotlight and prefers to spend most of her time at her farm in upstate New York.

In fact, they reprised their roles as 'Sophie' and 'Sky' in Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. Now, their latest meeting at the film festival highlights how the duo looks at their shared history with respect and affection.
