She, who started dating the 49-year-old retired tennis player, Justin, announced the news and also shared the reason behind their split. The duo started dating in spring 2025 and made several red-carpet debuts together.
Amanda Kloots revealed the reason behind her split from Justin Gimelstob
Speaking to Page Six, Amanda confirmed her split from Justin and revealed that they were no longer together but are ‘still very good friends’. However, the actress said that although they are no longer together, her faith in love is still intact, and she is still looking forward to it in her life.
In the same interview, Amanda spoke about her split from Justin and revealed the reason behind it, saying she wanted to focus on her career and her seven-year-old son, Elvis. Elaborating on the same, Amanda said:
“Right now I’ve really just been focused on work and Elvis and myself and just making sure I’m the best version of me. It’s been very good and healing and rewarding, so that’s where I’m at right now.”
Amanda Kloots lost her second husband to COVID
Kloots was first married to actor David Larsen for six years before getting divorced. Following her divorce from Larsen, Amanda met Nick Cordero while working on the Broadway show Bullets Over Broadway. The couple married in 2017, and in 2019, they welcomed their son, Elvis.
Nick was diagnosed with COVID-19 in 2020. However, he had a complicated battle with COVID-19, which extended to a 95-day hospitalization. Nick passed away in July 2020 at the age of 41 from COVID-related complications. Amanda, who was devastated by the loss, shared a tribute to Nick on her social media handle as she wrote:
“God has another angel in heaven now. My darling husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth.”
A few months back, Amanda showed a unique piece of jewelry she created using the ashes of her late husband, Nick. The TV personality took to her IG handle and shared a picture of a unique ring she made from Nick's ashes. Amanda mentioned that the ring, which changes its color, is very unique. In her words:
“The way this beautiful stone turns blue when it catches the light feels like pure magic. Thank you @eterneva for helping me create this gorgeous diamond, and thank you @efcollection for designing such an incredibly meaningful setting. The stone is set so it always touches my skin, and Nick’s initials are engraved on the bottom—a beautiful reminder that he is always with me."
Amanda reportedly grew the 5-carat, emerald-cut black diamond within a year. She had teamed up with a company called Eterneva, which turns ashes into diamonds. They designed the ring with EF Collection Fine Jewelry. The designer said that the setting of the ring was such that the diamond would directly rest on Kloots's finger.
