Well-known for her movies like Aadai and Mynaa, South Indian beauty, Amala Paul has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. She never stepped back from voicing her straightforward and bold opinion in front of the media. This time, the actress is making headlines for sending her estranged boyfriend, Bhavninder Singh into police custody.
For those who don't know, since 2020, rumours were rife that Amala was in a live-in relationship with her Mumbai-based beau, Bhavninder. However, due to reasons best known to themselves, the lovebirds had parted ways at the end of 2020. Recently, the actress filed a lawsuit against him as he released some photographs of her in the media from one of their photoshoots, giving a fake impression of their marriage.
According to a report in the ETimes, Amala lodged a complaint against Bhavninder in the Villupuram police station for allegedly cheating her in a business deal and harassing her with some of their personal pictures. After which, the police of the concerned district arrested Bhavninder under 16 sections of the Indian Penal Code.
According to the police, Amala and Bhavninder had started a film production company back in 2018 as co-owners. Since then, they shifted their base to Periyamudaliyar Chavadi near Auroville to live in a happy live-in relationship. However, after a turn of events, they got separated and started living away from each other. As the actress had invested heavily in their joint production company and produced a film, Cadaver, the partnership in the company was vital for her. But Bhavninder on the other hand, created forged documents removing his ex-girlfriend from the directorial position of the company.
As the police stated, he also threatened Amala to upload their private pictures on social media. Taking these matters into consideration, the police initiated a further investigation on the case and kept Bhavninder in their custody under sections including forgery, intimidation, cheating and harassment. Nonetheless, Bhavninder is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law!
